sog flowering instantly!!

nice rig. i have mine setup like this; intake hole into t splitter going into both lights-----lights-----two 250cfm inline fans (one for each light)-----two into one angled aluminum duct vertically----out of the grow tent into the room. my carbon filter is sitting on the floor, which i am going to put up higher to get the heat out, DUHHH!!! just realized this, DUHHH!!! this is a small 4" with a 4" inline 80cfm fan going straight up into the tent aperture. so i think i can solve this by moving my carbon filter and fan combo to the top of the tent.

good job on the 1000th post, i got number 500 tonight. it sounds confusing but its really simple. one duct into two lights, fans on the other end of the lights, these into a two-one duct and out.

four foot, 8 bulb T5 system will be putting out around 40,000 to 50,00 lumens.
T-5 have less light penitration but the entire plant is only 1 foot tall!
he average 1000W HPS is gonna give you about 100,000 lumens.
so 2 fixtures equal a 1000 w hps.

the t-5s have to be very close to the plants though so you must make sure your plants are uniformly high. you dont have to worry about this for the HPS, you can just get as close as possible.

hps can burn your plants without ducting to remove heat. You just need alot of the right

8 x 6500° K Daylight(for plant growth or seedlings) or
8x 3000° K Warm (for fruiting & flowering) or
4x 6500° K and 4 x 3000° K for a Full Spectrum effect

Im will be using the full spectrum effect

yeah, t-5 are good for SOG but i was just saying the light distribution only works cuz they are close to the plants. with uneven growth this would be a pain in the ass and only the tall platns would benefit and the lower ones would suffer. HPS is good cuz its more intense so the lower plants still get good light. SOG could definitely benefit from t-5s though. good luck. post some pics too.

how good is htgsupply. I have heard some bad things about them??

ya know i had a few issues early on with my second order but all in all they are pretty good. just dont expect a quick email reply. it seems like they are stoned like 24/7. i dont smoke that much but i like to get my order in a good timeframe and get my tracking info and everything stat! for that they lack but the products seem to be good. i had a $1000 order and a ballast was broken and they are sending a new one (or so they say.) i havent received a tracking number yet so who knows but i guess they stand behind their stuff. i think they are good but have shitty customer service. it might take a month to get that order right but itll be right in the end and the prices speak for themselves.
