So I've finally got enough tax $ to test a theory I've had for years... what if you recycle your grow lights watts and put them BACK to use... so I'm picking up 4 solar powered fans that have 3 ft breeze range...4 x 100 watt Panels to go with the 3 i have and about 20 deep cell and car batteries for storage. I'll keep you posted how its coming along!51oF0HHY1AL._SS160_.jpg 514WWmngsIL._SS160_.jpg

Nice where do you place your panels? On the sides to catch light? You can get a voltage regulator for that battery pack and use excess energy when batteries are full.

Yes sir!!! I've been using solar to supplement my energy bill for years in my computer repair shops but this is my first tent project! I actually sell solar kits at my my repair shops and people love coming and talking solar.. keeps them buying other stuff just to talk solar lol! I'm in a full mylar setup so they cover 3 of the walls in the 8x8 until we hit spring and i get better watts from the roof! Thank you for your awesome advice!

That is a cool job selling solar. I used to scavenge parts in the mountains for friends with campers. Managed the only govt solar system White Mountain Indian Health Services system was written up in nat geo. Govt shut it down we stopped buying diesel fuel six figures annually 20yrs ago. I love solar.

A decent sized thermo electric generator placed on top of a hood or light fixture during lights on could provide enough energy to run all your pumps and fans.
Grow room with tegs, solar and wind powering LEDs is the future imo.
Good luck
