Sour diesel journal, green as can be, hope it's in my thumbs

Sour Diesel, the guy I grabbed the clones from has been growing since '85, said this is from the chemdog strain.

Day 19 - ph 5.87, water temp 73.4, ppm 1163. I'm greeted with a strong smell today as I venture downstairs to check on Athena. Guess she had gas or something, can't let her go to taco bell anymore. If she smells like this at 19 days, I can't wait to see how she smells when I have her flowering. I pinched and pulled a few of the older leaves at the bottom that were looking rather dry and deadish. I'm gonna hold off on pruning anything else for another two weeks, I wanna see how bushy and tall she can get.

Gonna add some water again today and bring that ec down.

Added another gallon in, ph is at 5.82, water temp still at 73, ppm is now at 983. I noticed some of the older leaves had a spot or two indicating a bit of a burn, so I'm sure this will help. I raised the light to 18 inches above the top of the plant, as the leaves aren't as flat as they should be. Thanks for the input guys (done so in a private manner).

Day 20 - don't feel like taking pics this morning. Ph 5.82, ppm 984, water temp has been staying a steady 73.4 lights on and off. Leaves are starting to flatten out and the puppy skin is going away.

I had a digital timer that I switched out with a heavier duty one, I heard some bad things about the digitals.

Yesterday I spent a few hours putting up some sheet rock on the outside of my grow room, it's lowered the noise generated by the fans. I also grabbed two of these long ass rubbermaid tubs from home depot, and a 3" hole saw bit. I ordered some seeds which when I get I'll germ and get going along with this sour diesel plant. Once I start those seeds off I'll announce the strain.

Day 21 - ph 5.92, ppm 983, water temp 74.3. Yesterday I filled up the 54 gallon rubbermaid tub and mixed in a new nute solution. Made a few adjustments to the room, changed up hooks to make it easier for raising and lowering the light. I'm still noticing a slight curl on some of the leaves, not as bad as before. Added some ph down, gonna level it at 5.8.

I'm not familiar with ebb and flow too much, but 54 gallons seems like alot. Just don't want to see you waste nutes if you don't have too.

Oh, I bought 2 54 gallon tubs to make a dwc contraption. I'm using one just to hold water for right now.

Day 22 - ph 5.74, temp 74.3, ppm 975. Cleaned out the tubs yesterday, in the process a root snapped off. I wasn't too happy about it, and I'm still watching this girl closely. I thought maybe I was starting to develop some root rot, but it seems GH nutes add a lil color to them, which is what I'm hoping. They're light tan, mostly white, but the slight tan color did get my attention. I also tried out the FIM technique, see how that goes. Only took a couple pics, since there's not much of a change, at least in my eyes.

Day 23 - ph 5.74, temp 75.3, ppm 975. Everything is staying pretty stable, water temp is becoming an issue again, I'd like to keep it around 68-70 if I could, but whatever. I think during the high point yesterday it went up to 80, so I added a quick chiller. There's a lot more root formation going on, tons of white poking out from the net. I'm guessing that I took precautions for something I don't have, better safe than sorry, huh? She's getting really stinky, it's nice to wake up to.

Took some clones, let's see what happens with them in the next week or so. That metal rack thing, I bought from home depot, I covered the upper part with the pvc film making a cubby hole. She looks so naked now, I feel like I should cover her up or something.

Day 24 - ph 5.75, temp 76.3, ppm 954. No pics, nothing's really new today. I mean there may have been growth, but I can't see a thing. Roots look good, I think adding hydroguard was a plus, gonna have to get a bigger bottle of it for when these clones root. The root that had broke off, seems to be backed up by a bunch of new 5 inch pearly white roots. My dog ate the cord to the fridge and now I don't have a way to freeze my water bottles, I need to add in a chiller during the day, seeing that my water temps are going back up to 80 degrees.

Clones look ok, some of them have become droopy, while the others remain perky. I decided not to mist them, just one quick spray on the dome. I wanna help stand the droopy ones up, but I don't wanna be to anxious.

Day 25 - ph 5.78, temp 78.1, ppm 972. I'm going to hit the depot and grab some more stuff, gonna build a separate room for flowering. Yesterday after I got done smoking, I decided to start putting holes in a lid of a 34 gal tub, and didn't notice that I put on the wrong hole saw. I'm gonna have to get a charcoal filter to decrease the smell, I can now smell it upstairs on the right side of my house. I'm gonna feed my dog something nasty so he takes a bunch of extra poops to ward off any neighbors. If one plant is stinking like this, I can just imagine when those clones root.

Day 26 - ph 5.72, temp 76.3, ppm 972. Tired as hell, packin a bowl. Clones look ok, only one is still slightly droopy. I still haven't given them a mist, I did spray the dome with a quick hit yesterday. Looking at previous pics I can see Athena filled out again, which is nice. I finished putting up the sheet rock on the veg room, now I just gotta finish the flower room and grab another light. I figure about 10 days and I'll put her into flower.

Day 27 - The captain went to the other side of the island today, we're not sure if he's gonna make it back, no one goes to the other side during the night. We ate the last of Jimmy's left foot this morning, time to have another lottery and see who's next on the menu. It's been weeks since we've found ourselves here and no one has said a word about the incident. Charles looks at people funny, I wonder it's from what happened to his wife. Hector talks to himself when he thinks no one is paying attention, the strain has taken it's toll on everyone.

Ph 5.8, temp 77.6, ppm 879. Looks good. She's filling out more each day, and I greatly appreciate her effort.

Day 28 - time flies when you're not really paying attention to it, seems like it was yesterday that I started this, and now I'm 4 weeks into it. Ph 5.76, temp 76.5, ppm 885. I guess no one who reads my journal had a comment about the crap I posted yesterday, I was looking for some kind of reaction, if even, "wtf is wrong with you". I'm gonna post less pics till flower time.

Which reminds me, I ordered a 1k ballast and bulb yesterday, and today I need to pick up another hood. Flower room will be done this weekend, when I see the roots on the clones, then I'll move her into the next phase.
