Hi i saw a spider in a web on 1 of my plants tonight, im in the uk, it was small yellow with a black bum and black legs i say small but was able to see it hanging there 3 ft away, ive had mights ages ago but this wasnt like them?? ive tried to get picture but it never comes out right even through mag glass, ive also googled it to see about spiders on our plants but it allways just goes to spider mites, my main question is other then mites should we be concerned about spiders on our plants ???? im now going to search through my plants to make sure theres nothing mitey for sure, i hate creepy crawlies in my area!!!!

Just a guess here. But I'm gonna say NOT GOOD. Even if it is just a spider, you have to ask yourself.....WHY the FUCK did he choose your grow area for his home? Spiders like hot, humid, dark places that have a great food supply. Food supply being other bugs and insects (which should NOT be in there). I fucking hate spiders on top of that anyways. I would go through your shit with a fine tooth comb and make sure it's CLEAN. Remove any and all webs. You DON'T wanna smoke "spider-butt-silk" now do you? :)

Spiders will catch the bugs that may want a nibble some of your leaves.. So it could kinda be like the body guard of your garden to the insect world... but with that being said I have one 2 and i just killed it lol mine was brown and about a 1/4 of an inch. it really liked sunning under my cfls.

I always thought spiders were kind of benificial to your plants because they dont bother them and killinsects that will harm your plants.

I hate spiders. If I kept one in my grow room id be so paranoid every breeze id feel a spider on me. Kind of sick and cruel but I gotta kill them when I see one. All bugs in general except for ladybugs. Lol I always found them cute even as a child.

Much misinformation in this thread and a lot of misguided fear.
All arachnids were not created equal. Some feed on your plants and some feed on the feeders of your plants.
Do as you will. In the end it won't matter. The bugs ALWAYS win in the end.
