Spotted a cop outside my house last night.

Boobie traps, or anything that can cause personal injury are a big no-no.

Fences have a hight limit as well. For instance here its 6 ft. (i don't like this at all), but maybe some razor wire will keep them pesky porkers out.

Another idea is to build the house entirely underground in a bunker style apocolypse theme. I would love to have a single entry/exit that is so thick and well protected that if cops came a knocking with a search warrent. you could destroy/flush all evidence, disable the com system before opening the door with the excuse you couldn't hear them because of the com system malfunction.

... if you're afraid of those pesky pork choppers in the sky No worries, we'll fix them too with one of our Dr. Greenthumb 'Sizzlean' screens to block the nosy pig's vision Don't believe me?Just ask one of my many satisfied clients here Jed Sandershow well it works
Hyuh, hyuh, hello my name is Jaid And I'm a farmer and I've been growing Mary-jah-wana fer about twenty years and uhhuhh, with Dr. Greenthumb's 'Sizzlean' screen I don't have to point my shotgun at them pesky porkers no more Thanks Dr. Green, you're the shit

I recall something about using a combination of outward faced mirrors (behind the outer walls of your house) a Faraday cage behind/attached that, and thermal blanket material (Mylar?) behind that, to make your house 90% +/- invisible to IR and electronic eavesdropping tech. (depending on level of commitment, and level of intricacy and envelopment involved.)

Me and my buddy we're talking, and we figured a 3 story bunker with a 1 story house on top would make for the ideal home.

Run fiber optics to the home, tap into geothermal heat. etc. I've been a heavy equipment operator in the past, currently a fully ticketed welder/fabricator so i am thinking i might be able to reduce the cost of labor involved. I also have a interest in electronics so i could do a lot of neat stuff. Arduino microprocessors could operate my key-pad, or hydrolics to open the main door. blue-tooth link so you can control all the electronics (doors, lights etc) via your phone.

generators as well, possible some battery backup. You also want to incorporate some analog technology for backing up the electronics.

Great point, not sure how to do it but a analog system is absolutely required. Maybe some sort of combination like on a bank vault. Ventilation will be more difficult as well with no power. for 9000$ you can buy a 8kw/h wind turbine (if you are in a good location) which can charge a bank of batteries. Electrical substations have battery banks, fyi. also Solar panels are another alternative if you are in a location that does not have steady wind.

Just thinking though, if you tap into geothermal, is there a way you can get electricity from it? my understanding of residential geothermal is for heating purposes only.
