for you i would start over cuz those ones are going to be more work to bring them back get some new pottingmix not top soil and a new bag of weed and just stay using the mircle grow 24-8-16 its hard to mess up using mircle grow and you will see the plant grow after they have ther 4th or 5th set in then you can start the fert prrocess
I was thinking of germing two more seeds in MG moisture control. Thats what my buddy is using, just to see if it was the soil. So if you believe its the soil couldn't i just move them to new soil? I know it would stress them but they're only 21 days so if they made it through and say stunted for a week couldn't i just veg them longer until they got caught back up.
I don't know.
Tommorrow is pay day and i'm going to start germing two more seeds tonight. i can get the dirt and be ready to start a new. fucking shitty.
Whats up with the purple one though? can't be phosphate def. this early right?

oh and when you water you soak it never just give it a little bit that will keep the roots small when you soak it when it dries the roots will flow the water going down and make for bigger root system
Oh, ok. Thank you. For 6in pots like this how much water would you recommend when watering?

I agree w/ SunnyD. I think your set up is fine - maybe try to put them in some different soil. It seems like you have done some reading. Don't over - love them(lol).
Cool, maybe i'll move 2 of them over to new soil tmrw and see how they respond? or should i say fuck it and rock it out with all of them?

you water it just a little at a time so all the water stays in the soil and non of the nutes run out from water running out the bottom and pick the pot up when you do it so you feel how heavy it getts as you water it you will feel it when its saterated enuff and then add a little more for good measure

I use the weight of the container to figure out how much water it needs. Feel the difference when it's wet. Use that as a guideline.

I do the same thing...i handle them so much...its become 2nd nature to know when they need water

You should try to save them if possible. Remember all living things deserve their chance at life. I use a spray bottle to water my plants. It can be tedious, but it helps not disturbe the soil or roots too much.

The plant in my pictures was started w/ MG Seedling Starter Mix & then when I put the jiffy pot into a larger container I used a combo of MG Moisture Control & MG Organic Choice which is from what I've read not totally organic.

Yes. its just soil w/ NO nutes...also pick up some worm castings and perlite....I hardly feed in veg...the worm castings provides more then enough nutes for the first few weeks....
If worm castings are out of the picture could i mix with another MG soil maybe 60/40?

what do u mean? mix soils?... shouldnt matter....its just best that the soil has no nutes at the beginning stage of life.....I've used 9 mon feeding soil for my first few grows and had minimal burn...I only water when its needed...not when it feels a little light but dry where the leaves start to show signs of dropping.

worm casting are really cheap....10 bucks will get u a organic bag of dirt, worm castings and perlite...all can be found at walmart or whereever they have a garden section....

Ok.....great! Now the perlite, readily available to the humble grower? Would 70% MG organic 20% castings and 10% perlite be ok
