Sweet Seeds Big Devil & Fast Bud outdoors

Well its the end of day 13 so I figured I would go ahead and post another update with pictures. Things are going rather well for not having as long a day as I would hope for outdoor growing. Especially with autos. But its an early season grow so what the hell. Branches are starting, and they smell great if you rub the stem, the big devil like skunk, and the fast bud a dank grapefruit. Im very happy with that, as it matches the descriptions from the seed company for the most part. So I hope they match the rest of the description and finish fast. First pics is fast bud, fourth is big devil, they are both at about the same stage in growth.

They had a smell yesterday when I smelled them in the middle of the day, later that night they had no smell, interesting. They have a smell if I rub the leaves but not much of one. I think it was because I had fed them several hours before, and I think they liked it. They seemed to react very well. If they are anything like non autos, some will have a smell in veg, some wont.:weed:
That's because during the day there is more transpiration going on in the plants leaves.

They have such a great smell if the stem is rubbed, like I said before, the fast bud a dank grapefruit like smell, and the big devil a skunky smell, very very nice. I transplanted today, I know I should have started them in their final pot, but that wasnt an option at the point where I started them, I needed to be able to move them around easily. The soil I planted them in was nice and moist, I moistened it with compost tea rather than just water, hopefully the nutes will keep it from being shocked at all from the transplant. Hopefully now that the roots have a bigger area to grow they will take off.:bigjoint:

Call me cheap, but I picked up some 5 gallon buckets next to someones trash can, the lids had holes in them and the bottoms already had holes in them, some one was growing something lmao! Hell, if they dont need them anymore I will take them. Fucking level up for me lol, new buckets already set up for growing. Hmmm maybe this person down the road grows the green too!:-P

:leaf:The plants took very well to the transplant, they were saggy that day but were perked up and ready to go the next day after a little bit of an extended night period so they could rest. They have been growing very nicely since, probably better now, they are liking the extra room for their roots. I will post again with pics at the 3 week point. So about 5 days from now, maybe the day before who knows.:leaf:

i have Big Devils in the mail.. :) but, you must be in the sun somewhere - here in cali we're getting rainstorms still, so i am going to wait at least a week or two to start outdoors.. my plan is to go straight into 5 gallons in direct sun..

Nice ford, 5 gals might be a bit much, but it never hurts to make sure they will definitely get enough root space. Im finishing these little girls in 1 gallon potters to see what they can do in those. My Big Devil has started to flower, its day 17. It actually showed a few days ago I just couldnt quite tell if it was a calyx with a hair yet because it was so small. The fast bud shouldnt be long behind. Though I expected that to show first. They both are smelling pretty good now. Going by how they smell now, when they get a few weeks into flower they are going to reek.:weed:

I agree with outdoorindica on the pot sizes, you would be giving them more room to grow but it's honestly probably a waste of soil. I have mine in 3 gallon pots & that is still probably over doing it, I grow inside using cfl's.

I will be doing a picture update tomorrow. Fuckn 420! My Big Devil will be 3 weeks old that day, or 21 days old, and my Fast Bud will be 20 days old, which still isnt showing yet, or not that I have noticed. But the Big Devil has been flowering for a few days now. Unfortunately due to weather they have been inside the past few days. Hopefully I can get them out today.bongsmilie

The Fast Bud showed me her first calyx and hair today! So I am very happy about both of them flowering before the 3 week point. The Big Devil around 2 weeks to be honest, because like I said it had a calyx on it, just it was so small I couldnt really tell at all what it was, i knew for sure I think on day 17. And the fast bud probably was the same way, but I noticed the calyx today on day 20. They both smell pretty good, and should only get better as flowering continues. I cant wait to try these, I havent smoked any auto strains yet, but will be trying Diesel Ryder in a few weeks hopefully. That shit smells fantastic. Hopefully it tastes as good as it smells.:leaf:

Sorry no pics yet, been a long day. But hopefully I will find the time later to get some pictures taken, I havent forgotten and to correct myself on my last post the fast bud showed on day 19, not 20. Today is day 20 for the Fast Bud, and 21 for the Bid Devil, happy 420 everyone, and if I dont get pics up tonight, it will be tomorrow.:weed:

Wow i dont know about that, looks like heat stress, or too much nutrients. Its not liking something going on in its environment. Your plants are a good bit ahead of mine, do you have your plants on 18/6 or 20/4? I wish my plants could get that many light hours, I give them more light at the end of the day, buts its only cfl. I wish I had an hps to throw them under at night time. Hopefully your plants pull through, I would switch to just water for now and see if they pick back up. And if its too warm definitely bring those temps down.

im 18/6. temp is about 26ºc and hummity is 60%. im puting for 12/12 now. i have 3 fans in the room for now cause i read somewere that could be the air circulation that was weak. but the girls look very good besides that minor thing. lol

No smoking in the room shouldnt do all that to the plant. Probably temps or nutes. The fans should help. Time for an update. It is now week 3 and both of the plants are flowering, I was worried after reading so many auto grows that they would be some of the ones that take longer than others to flower. But I was lucky. So here are some pics to hold you folks over until week four.
