Believe it or not most people wouldn't even be able to hang. I grew up in an agriculture county right on the border. If you drove down main street at 3am you would see a line of illegals waiting to board a bus. Once they get to the fields they would only have a few hours before 100+ degree weather (Southern California) hit them right on their backs. A normal person would be lucky to even survive the heat stroke, let alone keep up the pace with the experienced "cherry pickers." There is a reason why only 3 people (as stated) are out there, it's hard fuckin work and nobody wants to do it.

Now what was it you were saying about him stealing this plane and not being challeneged? Where does it say he was never challenged? Were you the ATC in charge of that airplane? Can you prove anywhere that these planes did not show up on RADAR?

How much you wanna bet that all these stolen airplanes had the keys left in the ignition? ( I have been guilty myself and know of quite a few others who do it also).

edit: FYI its pretty easy to steal an airplane as they don't check your ID or anything and as long as you are competent with the radio and know your tail sign you can get permission from the tower to take off. NOW if you just jump in an airplane and taxi out and take off and all the while tower is calling you and you don't respond, well thats a whole different ball of wax and it WILL get you noticed. The kid knows how to fly a plane and knows how to talk to tower, theft is easy. Oh and one other thing, the very HARDEST part of flying an airplane isn't flying at all, its the landing that you need to be good at.

I don't know if he was challenged or not but there is no mention of it in any article I've seen. I can't speak to all the other airplanes but are you suggesting that this is a conspracy too!? I think it's pretty clear that he flew the plane to the Bahamas since they caught him there like a day later. Come on man, you are grabbing here. :-|

Heh well I don't think this is some kind of crazy conspiracy theory, but you don't just jump in an airplane with ZERO flying knowledge and go flying. Its not like there is a throttle on the floor, taxiing a plane isn't exactly common knowledge either, some of those planes are steered with the brakes. then you have to wonder how the fuck he made his way THOUSANDS OF MILES WITH NO CLUE ON NAVIGATION, or how to use a transponder or Aeronautical charts. Did he fly VFR or IFR and if it was IFR how did he know how to get to the bahamas? did he pull out the atlas and just "Guess" right? WTF? He must be one hell of a fast learner, or maybe thats what they are teaching kids now a days in Juvi facilities.

I know it's fucking crazy isn't it? They said he learned by playing video games and reading flight manuals. Ha! I know pilots who say that getting Instrument rating is really tough and this kid supposedly flew most of the way at night! As for navigation, he could've easily used a GPS. I'm not a pilot so I'm grasping at straws here.:bigjoint:

got some correspondence back from takeourjobs.org, they simply sent me a link and a keyword that only brought up work in MA. they said to let them know if i found a farm job...what BS

Just so everyone knows, Not a SINGLE airplane theft has been proven to have been perpetrated by him. Until proof of these deeds comes out he is innocent.

I'm ALL about innocent until proven guilty so let's use the word ALLEGEDLY.

The evidence appears to be pretty damning. One fact is that he escaped from a halfway house in 2008 and has been on the lam ever since. That by itself is pretty impressive for a young kid such as himself. He had a facebook following and supposedly took credit for many of those thefts. I believe he had a habit of leaving physical evidence behind which implicated only him in most of those thefts as well. There had been some speculation about if he had help with any of this stuff, but nobody has turned up and speculation kinda shifted back to him ALLEGEDLY perpetrating all or most of these bizarre thefts. I'm bummed that he got caught.:cry:
