Personal stash is now cured up nicely. I've been smoking on this all weekend and I LOVE IT. Very pleasant buzz and is super dense. Glad to have this in my arsenal=]IMG_0799.jpgTGA FTW

Nugbuckets, your lighting in your photos always has me drooling. You have the WB and lighting perfect IMO. What aperture do you typically use?

i like r-13.....but i think WB is even more important....it is best to have your laptop next to you when shooting, cause they always will look different from the LCD on the cam.....but it is so important to get it as close as possible when shooting, cause even the smallest amount of color adjusting post shot will take the "realness" away from the image.....i still struggle with it, but am getting there....thanks

T-Ray, hope you don't mind me using this pic as an example....but it is too heavy on the green, fortunately the black background is so pure, so i could drop some green without the red and blue showing through the black......it was close, so it stays real looking......if it was off any more, it would lose its realism through adjustment.....nerds unite!....

p.s.....when adjusting, use the black as black, and white as white....resin and pistils are white, so i look at those first to see what color they are showing, you can clearly see that his pistils have a green tint, whereas much was removed post adjustment.....

now with Drdank50's shot, it looks like he balanced the WB in the flower room, then took the shot......but the problem is, no matter how good your camera is, it will never get it right, that is why many will have a manual adjustment grid......this shot was really saturated with red, but the problem is, it took over the green and blue, so no matter how much you try to take away, or add, it will always have that not quite perfect look to it........it is close, but the color depth is not there, and that is why getting it right in the cam is so important......

Yeah, HPS is a bitch to try and white balance. The best I've found I could do with quick adjustments is setting the kelvin temp to 2100k (for my Hortilux, at least), and then adding a whopping 17 points of magenta. Even then it still looks shitty imo (but obviously better than before)

For this next round I'm thinking I might just drag my q-flash into the tent. That way I can overpower anything, and get some nice overhead light.

And CAS, for what it's worth man, your shots always look great with your ring flash setup you've got going...

edit: Couldn't resist tinkering with this one for a little bit. I find that using Selective Color in Photoshop is a great way to go in and really target a particular color. For this one I could see a lot of yellow in there still, so I went into the yellow channel inside of Selective color and added some cyan, green, and took out a wee bit of yellow. I also slightly desaturated the yellows before I did all this to give myself a little more of an even color pallete to start with overall.

Sorry, I couldn't resist. Blame the coffee.

Bobo and nugs, nice work editing the picture of the plushberry. To take this picture, I actually used the lens from my lumii grow glasses to negate a majority of the HPS lighting. They work great for $25 if operating in your room for an extended period of time. I appreciate the info on how to filter the photos. I took these using my Nikon D5100. It just snaps some amazing still shots.

Not sure of its visible (I'm on my phone), but the plush has all the wonderful purples coming out from the black cherry soda mom.

I never thought I'd get to use proof's here, but since I work in Photoshop all/every day, here is how I usually grade my shoots.

just a quick one of your photo mostly done in camera raw which is easier to pick up on at first a little bit tougher when its not in raw and already compressed so I don't know how much 'better' it is

I'm just getting back into growing and taking pics after 2 years off I've forgotten alot and now there is CS6 which is a little different than the photoshop version I used before so I hope you don't mind me giving it a try I need the practice.
