TGA Vortex, Dynagrow. dwc/ebb&flo Medical Grow --420 ppm or less

I''ve been a card holder for about a year now, and I'm starting to get the hang of growing my own meds. I've had lots of problems over this time, and did lots of learning from those mistakes. My grow is indoors, in Colorado, and our climate tends to be cold and dry here, mid summer we are warm and dry. I've battled mites, powdery mildew, root aphids, root rot, and nute burn. These problems have all gone away now, I believe it's from my plants finally being happy and healthy.

I started off with water farms, and made a few changes over the months. I'm now using hydroton in a basket over a 5 gallon bucket. 4 times per day I flood the hydroton to the top. The rest of the time the buckets are half full, and getting bubbles.. hence the dwe&f

I've been running the strain Durban Poison for a few cycles now, and have a Vortex from seed that is still vegging.
My Veg plants are at 375 ppm

The taller plant is the vortex, the 2 small ones are durban clones.

I've got 3 more durbans that are at day 34, and under a 600hps. It is quite impressive for day 34. It's feeding on dynagrow bloom, proteck, and mag pro.
PPM is about 380

I'll try to follow the life of the Vortex, and see how she compares to the durban.
I believe that my dry climate, and 35% humidity in the bloom room will work better with a sativa then an indica. Vortex is mostly sativa and should perform well for me.

I have to give props to Homebrewer for pointing me in the direction of dynagrow, and the principal of "less is more"

If you look at my album from the last year you can see some of my previous trys, and when it finally got good for me.

Vortex is looking quite happy in veg stage, running dynagrow grow, proteck, dutchmaster ZONE, and a dash of some cal-mag. I'm at about 375 ppm, after starting out with RO water. Temp is 75-82, humidity about 40%.

Day 36, rockin' 420ppm

are they already getting nice frost on them?
To be honest, this really is not a very frosty strain. The trichomes are tiny, and do not extend very far down the bud leaves. On that note, It's still a very potent strain with a very trippy buzz. Works great for pain and swollen joints too.

Had to tie up some more branches today, the ol' Durban can't support her own buds.

Have some pics from today. these durban girls went in the bloom closet on July 15, so this is day 40 of flower. I'll be cutting around day 58.

And in the veg room, we have the Vortex and some DP clones. The Vortex girl is goin to get huge! It'll be 18 days before i have an opening in the bloom room. She might just get to have a 600watt all to her self.

I've made some changes to the room. I've put my vented lights to use, and am running them with outside air. Things cooled way down... from hi's of 82 to just a high of 76. the 600 watt light is cool to the touch, and sitting pretty close to the plants. I also added CO2 to the room. My problem is now I have a humidity of 70% ( this may not be a problem, we'll see). I'm going to tweek things to make the room a little hotter, maybe 85 or so.
