Supporting him on one issue does not mean I intend to vote for him or donate money to MoveOndotorg. It simply means I approve of this particular action.

And if you assume the other party has any interest in protecting our rights and freedoms whatsoever, you are kidding yourself. Look at how they behave when they are in power.

The whole system requires rebooting, but that may not happen in my lifetime. Which means I must deal with the world as it is. I am free, for now, to live my life as I choose. But I must confine my actions to the prevailing circumstances.

I do not enjoy defending Obama (or Bush), but I will when they do (did) the right thing.

Again, very close. That is why we have a two party system...so we, as a nation of individuals, can choose from differing ideas. Not be a mob of ignorant moderates intent on finding the middle ground in order to appease the most feeble of mind among us.

Replace the word cookie with other words, like " Free Healthcare" or "Government Bailout" or "Government handout" and you see what I mean.

Mussolini did not make the trains run on schedule. That is a myth.

Il Duce was a preening coward most of the time, but do you know what he did not do that I can applaud him for? He did not give in to Nazi demands regarding Italian Jews. They were not deported to the camps until after Italy capitulated to the Allies and thus became occupied Nazi territory.

This all reminds me of back when Bush was President and so many on the Left said all those nasty things about him. I thought, "Thank goodness we live a country that allows, even encourages, such conduct.'

One party has strayed from their core principle of limited government, and one is as close as it's ever been to achieving it's Government induced "Utopian" State. You mean huge government or gargantuan government. Both parties ignore the Constitution when it suits them. Both parties are the problem. As such I support neither.

I am not walking in circles, I walk toward freedom. But constantly revolving two parties into and out of office is very circular.
