The BioCanna Nutes and BioTerra "soil" thread

I saw an official Canna Coco thread in the General Marijuana growing section, but couldn't find one just for the organic BioCanna line of nutes and soil anywhere, so here it is. For those using...

BioTerra/plus soil
BioVega veg nutes
BioFlores flowering nutes
Rhizotonic
Cannazym
BioBoost
and even PK 13/14

Discuss!

I've been using the nutes in all of my grows, but have only had the $ to spring for a small bottle of Boost before, and I'll be using PK 13/14 for the first time on my current grow #4, although this one isn't from the totally organic line.

I usually cut the BioTerra plus with something even though I know you're not supposed to. I'm still trying to find a happy mixture and will be trying 5 different soil mixes on Grow #5...but one is a layer of Cocodan Croutons mixed in and 1" on the bottom to see if that works with straight BioTerra.

I've got the BioCanna nutes schedule so I figured I'd post that too...

Grow:
Start Root Formation first week 4-8ml Bio Vega, 15ml Rhizotonic
Veg stage 1-3 weeks 8-12ml Bio Vega, 4-8ml Rhizotonic 10ml Cannazym

Bloom: 12 hours of light
Generative stage 1 (1-2weeks) 12-15ml Bio Flores, 2ml Rhizotonic, 10ml Cannazym, 15ml BioBoost
Generative stage 2 (+/- 1 week) 12-15ml Bio Flores, 2ml Rhizotonic, 10ml Cannazym, 8-15ml BioBoost
Generative stage 3 (+/- 2-3 weeks) 2ml Rhizotonic, 10ml Cannazym, 8-15ml BioBoost

Notes: I don't give any nutes the first 1-2/3 weeks then I start with the Bio Vega, and Rhizo when they've got a couple of leaf sets (I also mix worm castings and bat guano into my BioTerra plus, which is also already pre-fertilized so I don't need nutes for awhile).

Also, the Bio Vega needs to be eased off of slowly while the Flores is introduced...I'm usually still using Vega weeks into flowering.

The bloom schedule doesn't work out to anywhere near 60-65 days so that has to be stretched out a bit...and I'm still using Flores right up until the last week or 2 of flowering...

link to my 4th grow journal in my sig...

GREAT TO SEE THIS Hail! I am a new user of the BioCanna line and I'm lovvvvving it. I am using all the nute line and I am not cutting the Bioterra. I use Rhizo from the first leaflettes coming out and it just explodes the root system, as I'm sure your aware. Check out my signature to keep up with what I've got. 2 days into flowering. How long do you usually wait to start weening them off the vega and onto the flores?

are the Rhizotonic, Cannazym and PK13/14 organic? I am moving to the Canna line very shortly and I can't find any info on if those are considered organic. I have been hearing some fantastic sh!t about the Bioterra.

I'm usually still weening them off the Vega a month into flowering while giving the normal dose of Flores...

I know the PK 13/14 isn't totally organic which is why I hadn't tried it before...I'll be using it for the first time in a few weeks to see what it does. Rhizotonic and Cannazym are part of the BioCanna line so I always assumed they are organic...

on the Biocanna infopaper, it lists Bio vega, Bio flores, Bioboost and Bio Terra plus but does not go into the others.. BUT on the back of the pamphlet it gives tips and a feeding schedule that does list rhizo and cannazym, but nothing about if they are organic.. I'll check with my local canna dealer and see what he says, the canna rep is going to be in the store tomorrow I believe.

the rhizo, canazyhm, and pk13/14 are not organic, but they are not damaging to organic organisms. SO strictly speaking they are not organic but if used on an organic setup they will promote health in the soil..

organics and organic regulations make me dizzy..

Well, that's just confusing as shit...dammit, I may have to switch my nutes up now...if I want to grow completely organic. I'll try my current grow with the entire line including the PK 13/14 since I've already got it (I just don't have the Boost yet). But on my next grow I may want to just use the BioVega, BioFlores and Boost and supplement with BMO...damnit, I really like the Rhizotonic too...

tell me about it.. I have seeen all 3 of those nutes do amazing things. the rhizo and cannazym together is just stupid root growth but I am tryiing to go 100% organic.. you and be both brotha, sum bitch!

that bio boost is organic but a little pricey, aye?

BioBoost is quite pricey which is why I don't have any at the moment...it's hard to find a tiny bottle for less than $40. I've only used it once and couldn't see a big difference, but I'll be trying it again soon.

Bio boost is pricey. But it supplies the carbohydrates the plants need during flowering. Cant wait to start adding it in my waterings!

the guy at my shop says the rhizotonic and the canazyhm are ok to use and still be 100% organic but if you use the pk then technically its not totally organic anymore. i believe the feeding chart also reflects that.

yeah there was some discrepency about that from my shop, unfurtuantly the canna rep post poned his visit so not directly from the reps mouth. but the shop owner "thought" that since they where tech. hormones that they were fine for organics but he specifically said that pk13/14 is not. I am looking into this more and hopefuly when the rep DOES show up we/I can get some concrete answers.

the shit works, no denying tht, I just want it to be 100% organic for my patients..

Im doing a first grow, 250w HPS, Barneys Blue Cheese, with:

Canna Bio-Terra Soil
Canna Bio-Rhizotonic
Hygrozyme (organic enzyme feed)
Canna Bio-Vega
Canna Bio-Flores
Canna Bio-Boost
Vintage Bat Guano

The results should be interesting for this thread, ill report back in here how it goes, first grow though, so no comparisons to make to other nutrients...

So far all ive used is the Bio-Rhizotonic & Hygrozyme as apparently Bio-Terra already has lots of Nutes in it so no need for Bio-Vega until last 2 weeks of Vegitative growth.

My plants are almost 3 weeks old & around 9cm tall, the oldest leaves are now turning yellow & going a bit crispy, the rest looks very healthy dark green leaves, i get a new set of leaves every 2-3 days, i presume the older leaves are gonna die & fall of anyway?

My temp is 24-29c and humidity 50-60 consistently, got alot of negative pressure in my tent (sides cave in) so good ventilation

The only thing is the soil holds the water almost too well, it stays wet for almost 5 days before being able to water with nutes again
At the start i just lightly sprayed the water/feed on around the plants to moisten the area, now im feeding with watering can & wetting 90% of the soil (11" pots)

Any advice on how to best synergize the use of this range of Nutes would be very appreciated

Peace

Buddha. Your right the soil almost holds too much water! When my plants were small I was watering them once every 3 days probably. But now since they have gotten big, They suck down a gallon and a half of water a day! Most are in 5-7 gallon pots. My smaller grapefruits only drink it up once every 2 days now! But thats a good thing. Less work!

Wow are you serious?
Thats over 5 litres of water per day!?
I bet i stop feeding them evian by the time i get to where you are!

My pots are 11litres, so 2.5 Gallons roughly, doesn't sound right in comparison to yours, im gonna subscribe to your diary... looks good so far!

Do you water until you get run off?
