NIce! I want to start dwc next, I'll be paying close attention to how this works out for you!!
killer bro..and ive got a good feeling about this...i never thought id go the dwc method...im an old school NFT fan...thats how i always grew up until this last grow when i started using soil...got most of the dwc done....i just filled it with water to check for leaks...so far its perfect..blew in the end of the tube a bit....made a ton of bubbles...so this pump should be enough for this size container...i also finally put the new ph tester to work....made up a batch of stuff for the 2 party cup babies....was at 8.2 without the ferts....7.2 with the ferts...then i used the ph down to get it to 6.4....and that was only a 1/4 teaspoon of the ph down....it was easy as hell to calibrate also...i thought it would be a ton of bitching and fighting with it...but in the buffer solution it showed 7.2..gave it a lil turn in the back...and was right on 7.0...and stayed there after i tested it a few different times.now im just waiting on my net pots and 3 new babies will be headed to germination land.....also got a few pics...the 2 party cups, the shot glass baby...and the 5 others that im using to experiment with....im always trying different things...helps to have backups....also got pics of my new light and fan setup....temps are running better then they ever have

well...i hooked up the air pump...and that thing is shit...it dont push enough air for nothing...bubbles dont even come out of the water....so i guess im ordering one of these vibra-flo pumps...for 30 gallons systems...dual pump...so ill also be getting another air stone...would it be better using 2 air stones and distribute the pressure to 2 lines...or just use 1 stone and one line?

I'm glad to hear that ph tester is working out for ya! It makes it a lot easier doesn't it!

I'm really liking your new setup bro!! Are those cpu fans pulling out the heat from the cfl's pretty well setup like that?

Girls are looking really good too!!

yeah the fans are working great....lot more power from these fans then i thought...not your average cpu fan.and with the one on the left being the exhaust and the one on the right being the intake...seems to work well...ive got the lights higher in the box...so the heat, lights, and fans are all in the same area...and with the other fan in the bottom of the box....temps are doing great now.but anyways....back to working on the dwc...weeeeeeeeeeeee

Nice! I'm trying to figure something out with my closet for the heat, My fans are a bit above average cpu fans. There 70 cfm's each and I have three of them! I'm hoping I can rig something up to vent the hot air into the attic!!

these ones i got are 104 cfm's....and would probably put out more power if i had better adapters...they are only 5 volts....and left my theory on these bastard cfls and their heat on your thread....ha

CFL's contain mercury. Be VERY sure nothing inside the bulb hit your plants or your soil and make SURE it's all cleaned out from your entire grow area. Mercury poisioning is NO JOKE if you feel nothing hit the dirt or the plants and it all hit your growroom floor or something and was all cleaned up shouldn't be any worrys. But this happens ever again and if your not 100% sure it didn't touch the plants or soil take a moment and think... you consume this plant and all the things it was in... are you willing to risk the consumption of mercury? Thats why I handle all flourescent and mercury vapor bulbs with utmost care. Of course I come from a different perspective I grow medicine and as such I hold high standards to cleanliness and what is put into the plants. (unless it's mine for personal then sad to say I can be a bit lax :P )

P.s.
I got so gung ho on the power of mercury I forgot to add... sorry you broke a bulb that sucks, pretty dang inconvenient.

it should be all good..all my plants was out of the box...cleaned out the whole bottom of the box...i had planned on ordering a cfl cleanup kit...but had way to much other stuff to order first.it should be ok...lucky me it was one of the smaller lower watt bulbs...had it been one of the 65 watters...i would have been fucked..thats 10 inches of bulb...but when it dropped..i instanly pull it out by the cord...there was only a inch long peice left in the box ..they rest stayed connected to the ballast

woo hoo...i def got at least 1 girl out of the 2 party cup girls...no hairs yesterday....least 20 hairs today...ill have some new pics up tomorrow.also got my new air pump in...just one stone bubbles that thing that a mofo...but im going to go ahead and get another airstone since its a dual pump...then i think im going to transplant the shot glass plant into the new dwc...seeing as it still has tiny roots and its in hardly no soil..so real easy to get all the soil off the roots....and give me a good lil training plant to start with....the dipshit i ordered my net pots, hydroton, and rockwool finally got on the ball and mailed my stuff today...jackass sure took his time...so i hope within a week ill be able to start the dwc bucket
