My brother Dawg, I am so glad to see you are doing well and still pushing the limits. What pushed you towards Evergrow my friend? I have that all 4250k A90, pretty close to your new toy. what're you drawing on that? Thinking some good readings under the panel itself, but spread fell off fast on mine... a big enough trade off for the AW-SGS to balance balance super White Par and Spread. What kind've space are you going to cover with that? lens angle 80?

I do REALLY like how they broke down the 1/2 power option throughout the entire panel.

I'm in.:hump:

Keep in mind that SGS require ~ 18" above the canopy + breathing room above them to vent. That puts you somewhere around 60", which is the height of my small tent: then subtract bucket height, and there ain't a whole lot left

Were I to use it to grow to harvest, I would remove the bottom and raise the 4 corners up on blocks... Light should not be an issue down low, but you could get some reflectx and wrap
Re: the SGS and room to breath- would a small fan directed across each top of an SGS allow you to work closer to the ceiling? this is something im considering if needed.

I do not own one, but from experience with ~ 120w, the areas above gets fairly warm once the panels are within 12". I use an exhaust fan

I know you have answered this before:confused:.........but what air pump do you use?? And forget about those micro-pore air diffusers, it fucking burnt out my pump! i'm pissed and in the trash it goes.

back to the cheap replaceable airstones...

Why blame the stones? Could be your pump was not powerful enough. My 35 lpm pump pushes 4 oxystones just fine for several years now

What's Shaking Brother Psuagro.Yea A While Back Another Grower Did An Experiment With Different AirStone's And The MicroPore Diffusers Did Rather Poorly So Im Still Using The El-Cheapo 5 Inch Round Blue One's.As Far As The Pump's Are Concerned I've Used A Couple Of Different Very Expensive Pump's And I Have Found The El-Cheapo Tetra Whisper To Be The Best.:blsmoke:

Too much back pressure from the restrictive nature of these stones.............doesn't matter the wattage pump being used...........I had the exact air pump ^^^ you use and it failed early.

I bought a few of the 4" round but they are light weight and don't stay on the bottom. Tips? My oxystones work fine, but want a bigger bubble area. I only use bubble for starting seedlings/clones, then transition to my high energy flooming system

Hey Dawg! This grow is good timing for me. I just bought my first Area 51 after growing under t5's and big CFL's for 3 years. Should be a big improvement. My seeds have just sprouted, so I'll be following behind you. I'm just going to grow one plant in a 2' x 3' cabinet myself.

Just out of curiosity, what are those PVC pipes for? Attaching a SCROG screen to it?

Good luck!

Those micro pore things break easy, too. I bought some airstones at a pet store that look almost identical to them (long cylindrical) but only cost <$10 each. The holes aren't quite as tiny, but the bubbles they make aren't too big either. I've been using them for a year now with a cheap air pump. I'm pretty sure I bought them at PetSmart.

Probably no one cares now, but since Dawg posted a link to airstones at PetSmart, here's one to the cheap "micro-fine" airstones I use:
........................<click here>
I bought the 6" long ones for $5.49 each. They do make pretty fine bubbles (and they're heavy like rocks).
