TO make it even easier you can get GH FloraNova Bloom. Use it at 8ml/gal = 1050PPM @ .5. It is the exact same chem breakdown as the 0/8/16 mix in 1 bottle. Great value. This is Lucas' preferred nute these days.

This will work for veg as well. They only change you make is use 5ml/gallon if growing under fluro.

Ya, i agree with Lumberjack_Ian about the tweaking possiblities in using the Micro and the Bloom... but i think next time i order ferts I'll be going with the GH Flora Nova Grow and Flora Nova Bloom.

i originally shunned them (even though i like the 'organic' sound) because they are 3x as expensive by volume. But then i read the dosing instructions... and you only use 1/3 as much per gallon !! So i deffinitely like the idea of having less stuff shipped to my door.

Yea, it is 25$ per Qt. but it lasts as long as 2 qts of bloom and 1 qt of micro and that adds up to over 35 in most places. I love the stuff but I am cheap and lazy.

young prophet you can use a single room for your grow, the only reason to have seperate rooms is if your gonna keep moms/take clones

grows from seed to harvest can be done without moving the plants once =]

right ive figured that, so that means that when im done with my harvest in order start a new grow i would need to start from very beginning, getting my seedlings and working my way up to end the process as opposed to cutting off some clones from female plants and continuing from there?. What i understand from all this is basically if i grow in one room i can just go threw an entire grow but i wont be able to mantain clones to keep cycle moving? if in fact this is true does this mean i wont ever need to buy seeds? just keep clones growing and so forth?

thanks ian

Yes, if you keep a mom or keep taking clones from your plants at the right time intervals you will never have to germ another seed unless you want a different strain.

Prophet...I think you should consider Autoflowering strains. I can only have one room now, so I changed to the Auto's and life is going to be amazing now...

Check out my thread at planet ganja. It is a Hempy, Automatic, Perpetual, Lucas Formula, etc.

Look at my exhaust setup as well, it soiunds exactly like what you will be doing through your cooltubes as well, passive intake, etc.

i disagree w/ the auto flowering plants

they're for outdo growers up north who don't have time for plants to finish normally... inside you should never need an autoflower

there are a million different ways of growing BETTER genetics no matter the circumstance, except said exception above

a single mom and clones would take no move room than 1 x 1 ft footprint w/ about 2 feet of height

you'd be suprised what you could get away with =]

Can anyone tell me what is going on with my seedlings? This morning I am greeted by twisting leaves!:-(

Age- 8 days

Strain -Auto AK47 and Auto AK47 x Hindu Kush

They are in Hempy cups 3/1 perlite/vermiculite mix.

I have been giving them PH adjusted 6.3 tap water.

Two days ago I gave them a 1/4 strength shot of B1 green thrive and Root 66 from Technoflora. I picked up their recipe for success kit, 2 of them actually.

No nutes(NPK), just root and health stimulators.

I have them under 2 48" flourescent shop lights, about 1.5" below the light. two cool tubes and two soft tubes.

Temps 70-80 RH 40-60

I wanted to move them under my 600HPS, but not with this leaf twist problem.

I have 3 and 5 gallon Hempy containers waiting for them in the flower room. I am going to BOG the cups onto the big containers in about a week.

Thanks in advance everyone. buddy

FWIW- the reason for the
Autos is that this is my first grow and I only have time for a quick round. My home is sold and I will be moving May 1. So it was my only option to grow Autos or wait till May.

Heck, I've been waiting 30 years to do this, and when my youngest moved out this fall, I pulled the triger on my new hobby.

Your in the MG mix? If so, there are ferts in there. I experience twist in my litle guys due to ever ferting... fert twist. It sorts itself out...
Keep those little guys under tubes still, HPS light will be a litle intense still.

Thanks mannurse. No MG perlite for me. Sterile hortilculture grade perlite.

The only things I have given them is a little 1/4 strength B1 green Thrive and Root 66 from Technoflora. They are supposed to be root and health stimulators with no NPK.

I gave this to them two days ago and misted them very lightly with it as instructed.

So I will watch and wait. My cups a fairly moist yet today so I don't want to flush and risk overwatering the babies.

I actually plan on letting them get real dry before watering this time just in case the problem is from over watering. They have not hie the reservoir on the bottom of the Hempy cups yet so I have been trickling water around the stem every other day.

Thanks again. buddy

shnkrmn - Thanks, that's exactly how I feel!

Just getting started and here's what I've discovered so far:

It's not just a hobby, it becomes a passion.

It's a ton of work, but it's a labor of love.

It's more addictive than the fruit!:leaf:

yes def, i hear you ian. Its actually all coming together for me thanks to all you guys, Im going to actually be using a real closet in my room because its pretty spacious and enclosed. I will be posting pics up soon of the closet so i can get some opinions and ideas before i actually start cutting holes for ventilation system and everything else.
Hey Ian Im not going to go with the auto's since im in no rush here, im going to take my time so it pays off at then end. Im going to start with seedlings and plan on getting some seeds from nirvana this week for sure. I also plan in getting clones from my females plants, I want it to be a perpetual harvest.

2 questions for you guys:

what is considered a mother plant? is it the first female plant you start to take clones from? and also when you say a room to keep the mother in, does that mean you never harvest this "mom plant"? you just keep it in flowering stage? or how does that work im a little confused . Space is no longer a proplem by the way.

Yeah, your mom is the one you take clones from. Generally you can keep a mom forever... good luck tho.... You can take clones from a mom for a good year. At that point, I would generally start a mom from seed again.
I don't like taking clones from clones, but many do. I find the plants tend to get a little weak after a couple generations.
You can harvest the mom whenever you like. Just throw here in 12/12 and voila, would have a flowering mom.
You'll want to keep the mom out of the flowering room, or else she will flower to.

yea makes sense, you guys think a 1ftx3ft cabinet work to store a mother and clones?
also the mom should be under fluorescents or mh lights?

You may need more room, depending on the strain, some moms can get really bushy. MH light would be fine for moms. Just make sure she gets at least 16 hrs of light....
