In the past, immigrants desired to assimilate....and did so efficiently.
Big difference now, as frthnkr85 points out above...it seems to be all about sending dollars home....when, in actuality, the USA should be their new home!

I say build two fences with concertina wire on the top about 30 feet apart and put a flaming trench between the fences that is lined with 6 foot sharpened spikes.
Yeah, I bet that would stop them.

I think you should really take a class in economics, The real reasons the economy is fucked are many, here's a few: Bush is spending more than he takes in, due to a couple of reasons, ;1 Tax cuts for the wealthiest 2%, 2 the unnecessary war in Iraq./ Then you have the corporations laying off thousands, the cost of everything (especially Medical) going up faster than wages, and yes, the influx of millions of illegal immigrants taking jobs from the lower end of the American workforce. This is something corporations love as it brings the price of labor down accross the board. Here is the Key word in illegal immigrants, ILLEGAL, this means in case you don't know it, NOT LEGAL. So lets start from there. If you want to participate in our wonderful country and have all the benefits we have, then start by coming here legally. Then continue on by learning our language and culture. Get an education and move up the ladder. We have enough dumb asses here already without bringing 20+ million uneducated illegals here. It sounds like you are legal by proxy, but non-theless legal so I am not tirading against you, but hey you tell me, what are all the American uneducated supposed to do for work. When I was young, you could always get a job in construction, paid pretty well also. Now, all construction jobs in my area are owned by illegals, and the going wage is half of what it was. This is why I say the corporations love them, more work for less money, the plutocratic way!

I got to say that I am done with this topic. I agree that people should enter here legaly. I do. I also agree that to be a good American you should know how to speak and write the language. Yet, it seems like a lot of home grown Americans can't speak the language or for that matter write it. What the f%^&* should we do with those idiots? Typically it's those idiots who are to lazzzzzyyyyy to pick up a fucken broom and earn there keep. Those are the people being replaced by illegals. And you guy's know who I'm talking about. These are the same Idiots who complain about not having work. I mean I have two jobs I work days in sales and nights at a nite club. If I can find 2 jobs why can't some of these home grown Americans find one??? But like I said earlier "i'm done" you guy's can discuss this amongnst yourselfs. respect to all you people out there. forgive my spelling, i am still learning your language.

I believe the writing on the statue of liberty have something to say. We need to allow people in. And we need to improve their lives and their chances to succeed (I dont advocate blocking or slowing the immigration just making it so they learn what it means to be american before they move here.)

I have no problem with legal immigration, but with the influx of workers from the southern lands, comes drugs and criminals. We must get control of our borders. We have enough home grown retards and criminals, we don't need to import them. What do you make of the mexican army helping drug smugglers and coyotes bring in illegals, even shooting at our border patrol, some balls eh. They need to arm the national guard and then see how fucking brave those assholes are! A few 50 cal hummers and light tanks with 40MM cannons would soon discourage those dickheads.

rooster i agree with you... the assholes that are to lazy in this country to do anything and sit and collect welfare... and just to clear this up i'm talking about all races and creeds... and they sit and collect medical benefits and they don't do a damn lick of work... that is just freakin sad... i say to deport their good for nothing asses right along with the illegals... we don't need anymore good for nothings in this country otherwise the crime rate will continue to rise and eventually our economy will hit rock bottom because no one is working to pay into the gov. and everyone is sitting on their lazy asses collecting from the gov. and the gov. will just continue to dish out money because it would be wrong to let this scum of society starve to death... I'm getting fed up and am about to my breaking point... i'm about to deport myself to a remote island somewhere and live out the rest of my life as a happy go lucky hermit...

They should stay in their nation and work to make it better. If the mexican government wasn't ten times worse than ours, maybe they could have comparable living standards. We had to fight to make our government what it is, and we're still fighting to make it better, Go back to your country of origin and apply for a Visa and then work to make your country better. Quit coming to our country and bringing our standard of living down to yours. This is the ultimate goal of the corporations, to have one country from the tip of south America to the polar Ice caps of Canada. Then we can all work for 35 cents an hour. Form peoples unions, take up arms, have a revolution, change your corrupt government. You let the bandits steal the last election, sort of like us, we let Bush steal 2 elections, we're pretty dumb, I know, But you immigrants need to go to your country and fix it and apply for a legal Visa, a work Visa and then there will be no problems with us patriots!

that wasn't a shot at you med... i'm just saying the only way to have peace on my island is only to allow people who want to smoke and have fun and not let politics and all the mumbo jumbo bullshit of the world effect people getting together and just enjoy being people... i'm not vi med you don't have to retaliate at me thinking i'm always trying to offend... on the other hand if you want it to be that way i will make you look stupid every thread you post on...lol... your choice buddy...

OK, so much for the island post, that was a frivoulous gesture anyway, now on to the real question, What about 12-20+ Million illegals bringing crime and wage reduction to this country, what about securing our borders from terrorists and drugs and criminal trespass. I've already stated I'm not a racist and I have nothing against LEGAL immigration, so how do we solve this dillema, how do we stem the tide of illegals? Here's one way, Fine and imprison owners and CEOs of companies that hire illegals, give a boss 1-5 in a state prison, and the jobs would dry up and or be turned over to the poor in this country. Yeah, I know there are a lot of people (You call lazy) that won't get out of bed for 5.50 an hour. Well 5.50 an hour is 220.00 a week, what the hell can you do with 220.00 a week and after taxes, that would be under 200.00, so why bother. Pay a liveable wage and those "lazy" people will come out of the woodwork. Profits are so high right now compared to wages that it isn't funny. So my solution is fine and imprison people that hire illegals and pay a liveable wage to citizens! Pretty simple I'd say! PS. Stupid is as stupid does.

Not true o wise one. The vast majority are just workers looking for a better life as you contend. But, look at it this way, in Mexico, if you are caught commiting a crime, you either get shot, or do hard time in a mexican prison. here if you get caught, you get sent back to mexico unless it's a major crime like murder, and then you might get sent back to face a Mexican court(No death sentence in Mexico) or stand trial here. At least here you get 3 meals and a cot. Now also you must consider the fruits of their labor (Criminals) There are a lot more high value targets here in the US and the criminal element from Mexico know that in spades. The US is just a huge fruit bowel waiting to be plundered. Here in Vegas, I'd guess at this time, at least 40% of the crime is being commited by illegal criminals (and That is a low estimate). Hell there's at least 3-5 gang type murders a week here. It used to be the Blacks that had a lock on gang murders, not now. 3 out of 4 are mexican gangs. MS13 is alive and well in this country. I have a carry permit, I hardly ever carry, although the statistics say I should, as carjackings are at a record high. In Nevada. you can pretty much shoot a stranger if he threatens your life and you believe him, someone you know is much harder to get away with. Sometimes I take my colt .45 model 1911 with me if I'm going to a rough part of town, of course I try and avoid those places if possible. I realize that caution is better than recklessness. Ther was a case about a year ago where an illegal threatened a motorist at a signal light, knocket out his driver side window with a crow bar and the driver shot him in the head at point blank range, a .45 BTW and blew 1/3 of the guys face off. The driver walked with no blemish on his record, and he didn't even have a carry permit. Justice was served! I always take my .45 with me on vacations, I keep it out of sight but handy, you never know and being a seniour citizen I realize I'm a prime target for gutless scumbags, So scumbags beware, bang bang you're dead!
