Here's the deal: you're either for open borders or border enforcement. The Bushies and corporations want open borders from the tip of SA to the ice fields in Canada, One world order, with the corporations ruling everything. That would make the price of labor 50 cents an hour. Can you survive on 50 cents an hour? Can you make your house payment on those wages? The whole world wants to come here and participate in our luxury. The corporations know this and would welcome them with open arms. 26 cents in Bangla-desh, 38 cents in India, hey, if you're lucky, you might get a skilled job for 85 cents an hour. So think about how the rest of the world lives and think about living in a cardboard shack, for the inherently Evil corporations could care less about your welfare. They exist for one reason only, to make profit for stockholders and senior management. The less they have to spend on labor, the better. And for my sake, It doesn't matter. I'm retired and there is enough in social security to last way beyond my lifespan and my pension is secure. And as far as the indians are concerned, yeah they got a raw deal, but that was 2 hundred years ago, this is now! Maybe we should look into how the indians killed off the cro-magnons to take over and so on.

well i'm all for closed borders... but i'm not for you agreeing that just because the minimum wage is low that its ok to sit at home on your ass and collect from the government... get 2 jobs then that 440 a week... spend some of that money and get an education... then you can get a good paying job... but if you let anyone who wants an excuse to not work have an excuse to not work then sooner or later everyone will be victims and no one will be working and social security will go broke and so will all of these other programs... i agree some companies should pay higher salaries for their jobs... but you can't raise the overall minimum wage because some jobs just aren't worth paying more then 5.50 an hour... this country was built around being able to work your way up to a better life... but very few people get to start on top... and those that do well they are just lucky but not everyone wins the lottery either... so i say get off your lazy ass and work... i've done some hard ass jobs for under 10 an hour... but at least i was working and not sittin on my lazy ass... now i'm working on going to college and getting a bachleors... good for me... but i'm tired of my tax money (hard earned) going to those that sit on their ass because the minimum wage is to low... wah wah wah... or maybe med it might be that sitting at home and selling drugs or robbing the corner store or your neighbors and collecting welfare is easier then getting a job... and hell why not the gov. will give it to you on a silver platter... especially the libs...

Sounds kinda of racist to me. And I'm not even Mexican. I know I'm new and probably not as smart as lets say The Medicare man

Man you need to get out more, there are not many guys collecting checks from the govt. There are a lot of single moms, but not many guys. And if you are referring to my collection of social security benefits, that was my retirement program that I paid into for 50 years. That plus a small pension is my retirement. Hopefully you can do better, but if you have a family and get stuck in the rut, maybe you'll have to retire on that, or you can put your money in the stock market and roll the dice. Just for your information, a bachelors degree is about the same as a highschool degree was when I was your age, it doesn't open many doors. I hope you are one of the lucky ones that actually find a good job, one that hasn't been sent offshore, but they are leaving fast. the only field that is actually expanding here is medical, might want to look into that as the Baby Boomers are set to retire, good luck, a few more years and a few hard knocks and you'll change your outlook, unless you find unbridled success, and I hope you do. And BTW, why would the "Libs" get more than anyone else. When you sign up for welfare do they ask you your political affiliation, I think not. Everyone that is eligible gets it no matter how they think, Hell maybe you could qualify, who knows! And if they paid decent wages, I'll bet a lot of people would get off. The human spirit, (un-beknownsed to most rich people) would rather earn their way in life. It's call self accomplishment and does wonders to boost your self esteem. Most people want to do good and accomplish something in life, It's human nature. The criminal element doesn't quite have this trait I'm afraid. Every Job I ever had I tried to do my best, the only times I didn't was if a dumb ass boss tried to give me grief over something out of my control, Yes there are Dumb ass bosses, it's a fact of life. Just as there were Bullies.

Dork is very mild. it refers to stupid posts comparing 2007 to the slaughter of the indians. The US of A is a country historically built on immigration, immigration has always been the motor of economy, and , believe it or not there is not much ''culture'' in being american, so what do you have? a flag, a anthem, an official language, a major part (if not the totality) of the american population are of foreign origin, ''little'' everything already exists! As far as I know there is no major problem of unemployment in the USA, and illegal immigrants are usually seen taking the jobs that no one else wants.. I agree on the fact that financial transactions are flowing away from the Us and into the rest of the world, but that's just part of the global economy the world is getting into.

gets here in the US and the criminal element from Mexico know that in spades. The US is just a huge fruit bowel waiting to be plundered. Here in Vegas, I'd guess at this time, at least 40% of the crime is being commited by illegal criminals (and That is a low estimate). Hell there's at least 3-5 gang type murders a week here. It used to be the Blacks that had a lock on gang murders, not now. 3 out of 4 are mexican gangs. MS13 is alive and well in this country.
Ms 13 and 18 WERE FOUNDED in Los Angeles USA, yes they were ''latinos'' but if you are wondering were the tattoo culture of violence comes from, love for fire arms, and silver bling bling turn to your own country, and see that it is only through the inequity of social standards in america and the lack of ethics and integration that create this kind of situations,,, Not justifying anything here i'm just saying that there is ambiguity to be seen in every social phenomenon, if it was so one sided the ''problem'' of mass migration would have already been solved...

all right we are drifting let me clear things up... i love this country and what it stands for hell my great great grandparents were immigrants from germany during WWII... however ILLEGAL is the topic at hand... there are over 15 million ILLEGAL immigrants in this country.... granted the process for entering legally is f**ked and the guest worker program is next to useless and i think these things should be fixed... i've met plenty of mexicans or whatever you want to call them so as not to be racist and i liked them and i even had the balls to ask the ones that could speak english WHY? they were coming in such masses... and it was just as i thought... Mexico has a very corrupt government and unless you are part of that said gov. a drug lord, or someone with a lot of money then your chances of surviving past 30 are nil... Hell i liked a lot of them and worked with them and had empathy for them... now that being said what they are doing is still illegal... if i was to go out and rob a bank because i needed the money really bad to support my family guess what??? you guessed it i would be locked up for an exorbent amount of time... but i was just doing it for the right reasons i would say and they would say guilty... it is not ok to let people mock our country and our laws not at all... and these illegals just get a slap on the wrist if that and deported and they are back within the month because it is SOOOOOOOOOOO easy to cross our borders... well what happens when it is a radical muslim with a nuke in your city... OH SHIT well to late now... get the point... see the US has let people get away with things for to long and now look at the problems we have... and med i wasn't referring to Social security people that work and earn it deserve it i was just saying that if these other social programs run amok there will be no more social security for MY generation because the deadbeats will have already spent all the money... and i don't know where you live but there are plenty of people collecting welfare that don't need it... but med if you've worked hard your whole life and given to this country and paid in then good for you you deserve your benefits it is the people that don't deserve shit and get it anyways that i was referring to... and lastly if you are going to come to this country and if you want to be a citizen then you need to learn our language respect our flag and keep the culture from the country you came from on the back burner because you want to be an american... not to say its not ok to follow your own culture because as stated above this is a country of immigrants but it shouldn't be your main culture... everyone got me... good!!!
