As long as you don't drop below 60 bro you will be cool. When you drop below 60 it wont kill them but it will severely slow down growth. Some strains react better to cool temps. Just keep your night/day temps consistent and your girls wont even notice.
Thanks man. I have read conflicting information in regard to night time temps. Anywhere from 60-70 degrees. My space is on the outside wall of this old house so i am affraid it is gonna get chilly in there. I will only suppliment heat as a last resort. Will update later today with some pics of the ladies before the lights go out :)

I would love to use some bigger lights. The issue at hand at the moment is exhaust !! I am currently just venting into the attic and it is already melting the snow on my roof. Too much of a "heat Score" if i were to exhaust any more heat than i already am. In the summer when i can renovate, i was thinking of exhausting into the plumbing stack and this will solve the melting roof issue in winter months THEN i couls upgrade to HPS !! Venting into the stack will also solve any smell issues as it is about 5 feet above the roofline of my house. Don't think anyone will smell anything that high up.

Why not exhaust directly into your home, it is winter, why not save on heat bills? Carbon Filter for the win. And for the warmer months, you could vent through the chimney/ dryer exhaust/ ?

Looking sexy! But man, your killing me, can't spare a few bucks for reflectors? Hell, rig up some DIY Reflectors. Cardboard+ Duct Tape+ Mylar/ Reflective Tape/ Flat White

Can someone give me some advice. Now that the all the bud sites have shown their girly parts, should i trim the fan leaves to expose the bud sites to more light or just leave them. I have read conflicting information ?? I have read that this will cause stress in the negative context but will promote exponential growth on the positive. Any advice is welcome and appreciated.

Peace

My 2cents, tuck them don't trim or cut them.
I'd leave the leaves until they're dying and ready to go.
Like you I've read a lot of conflicting info and its more keep the leaves unless your growing style warrants you to cut them.
A few guys are doing work defoliating and they're not hard to find haha but I guess it's more of a preference thing. Science says keep the leaves as they serve a vital purpose :joint:

Generally leave all the healthy green leaves and only take off leaves that have shriveled and dried up. The plant's leaves help store and provide energy to the plant. You really don't want to ever just start taking off fan leaves. The plant won't yield more just by trimming them off. Also, after about a week of flowering, you don't want to do any trimming or further training to a plant. It causes stress while flowering. All training should really be done during vegetation state and it should be tied down at this time if size is a problem. A good thing to consider before growing is that different strains have different bud to leaf ratios as well as potency/denseness differences with each strain. One of my favorites is super lemon haze because the potency and bud to leaf ratios are amazing. Nothing gets wasted on the buds, all of the upper fan leaves finish frosted up, not to mention even the stems get frosted over. Trichomes will literally start developing on the stem itself so if you took a razor blade to a stem you could scrape off a layer of kief. Looking really good man, awesome stealth grow you have there. Wish you the best of luck.

large fan leaves are not needed after stretch is over
sum plants start to kill them off at 2/3 of flower sum they dry up sum turn purple sum turn yellow

i have experimented with removal at different times of flower
i found they dont affect buds at all only the part of the plant thay are attached to
never touch the leaves that suger up they affect bud production

large fan leaves only for growth of plant

experiment never brlieve shit till proven not me not anyone
take it in dont buy it till proven to self and dont spread it

this used to be a good place to learn
now got errybody sayin erryting and all cant be right

only a few know whut they are speakin on rest dont
your best friend is experimenting

this site used to be a knowledge base lots of old time pros
now a bunch of kids speakin out of term without backing
talkin whut they heard instead of facts worst is lesser experienced
kids are buying it

Thanks Streets. I think i will just play with my lights rather than my lades to get more light where i need it.

plant science is the key here, the more opportunity for photosynthesis to take place the more your plants will grow including buds.I trim some small lateral bottom growth in veg and give it recovery time before flower.I try and keep every leaf green and healthy right up to harvest, tuck big fan leves don't cut them.I fed into this bullshit until i developed a better understanding of basic plant science, same with the flushing myth about taste and harshness myth. Although flushing your plants will finish them faster as your helping them finish their life cycle faster by starving them, and also at the same time sacraficing that extra bit of yeild and tric production.
