I don't have a Super Closet, but I do have a Super Locker 2.0. I upgraded the 150w HPS to a 600w Blackstar LED as you can see in the photos below. For being my first grow, the results seem to be excellent on 2 of the plants, 2 of the plants not as good. The Super Locker is obviously overpriced, but you do get a good box for the money. The box is very well thought out and designed. For the money you can do way better, but for the person with some cash to blow, that doesn't have much space (like in an apartment), that also doesn't have the knowledge, experience, tools, and time, that just wants to grow great plants, it works really well. If you had the space, I would say to just buy some lights and grow in a room, tent, or attic. That would save a lot of money and you would probably get even better plants than you would in the Super Locker.

I bought the LED light specifically for this enclosure, to keep temps low, and to give the plants as much light as possible. The 150w HPS works fine, the plants seem to grow almost as good under the 150w HPS as they do with the 600w LED, but there is a noticeable difference between the LED and the HPS; (the LED clearly grows the plants better). Temps with the fan and exhaust fan running on the LED run are around 80-85 F and 82-85 F with the HPS.

If money didn't matter and space was limited, I would recommend going with a Super Locker, or Super Closet, they are great units. The 600w Blackstar was $600, a steep price, that's probably not going to yield much greater returns than the 150w HPS in the enclosure. There are advantages to the LED, especially in the Super Locker, but you are paying $600 more for the light, which is A LOT for a light. If money were an issue, and you did have the space for a tent or a room, I would recommend getting a few of the 150w Sun System lights that came with the Super Locker from Amazon for $80 each. The ballast is already built into the light and once the light is warmed up, it is BRIGHT!!!!! You can swap MH (for veg) and HPS (for bloom) bulbs on the light. The 150w Bulbs are relatively cheap and are of the same quality as a $100 1000w Bulb. Get some fans for the room (Target), and build your own hydro kit with plastic tubs (from Target), and aquarium air and water pumps and plastic tubes (from PetsMart), and Net Pots, Hydroton Rocks, and Nutrients (from Garden Center). Thats it!!!!!! You could have 4 150w lights for under $400. Whole setup will run you like $600, and you will be able to grow A LOT more. I would also recommend a reverse osmosis kit; you will see the different in your plants as opposed to using tap water.

I love my new SuperCloset....and I have pics to show you why. This thing performs!!!
I had never grown hydroponically before and had no idea what I was doing beyond vegging, flowering, 18/6 & 12/12. I have always been curious but a full blown set up was way too intimidating and risky for me. This is what caused me to seek out an all-in-one unit. The unit truly did come with everything that I needed. I got lucky and bought mine for $2,595.00 on sale, although it seems to me like it is always on sale....hmmm..
In any case, when I got my closet, I loaded the instructional DVD that came with the unit....part of it was helpful and the other part confused the heck out of me. It looked like a different system. I called them because I was thoroughly confused. They informed me that they had recently upgraded to a new Superponics System and that the DVD that I had was outdated. They did send me another, but it took a while to arrive.....although this didn't matter because the guy I spoke with on the phone walked me through the entire process via telephone. He explained everything that I needed to know.
I thought that I was headed for disaster in the beginning....my clones that I got had spider mites AND root aphids!!!!! Luckily, I was able to utilize a take down spray and neem oil. I did a full soak and got rid of those pesky critters.
Now I have these beautifully healthy plants.
THE ONLY MAINTENANCE I HAVE IS CHANGING MY WATER ONCE EVERY TWO WEEKS AND WIPING DOWN THOSE AIR DIFFUSERS.....I JUST LEFT FOR SIX DAYS AND MY PLANTS ARE KILLING IT, THREE WEEKS INTO FLOWER!!!!! THAT IS WHAT PROMPTED ME TO SHARE. @ DTRave420,
I live in a not so friendly state that has a smart meter on my house. I am not trying to make a bunch of money or anything like that just want to dry yield about 8oz every yield. I am super crampt on space as well. something the size of the super locker is as big as I can safely go. It comes with the 150w HPS bulb. I have heard everything good bad and in between about all of there products. Is this a decent purchase. I know its pricey. Also with it being in my closet is it going to get too hot in there to sustain healthy plant growth. if so how many should i grow in it at once? All 8 just 2, what. plz help me out with some advice.

The overall convenience of the grow cabinets make it for me, I can't afford to run a whole room and I don't need that much product. I run three cabinets, http://www.readysethydro.com/grow-cabinets, i run these three cabinets at the moment, I am fully satisfied with them, and they are more affordable compared to other cabinets.

Wow! A 6x4 tent that looks like a marijuana grow tent. For 1/2 the price. Somehow, I don't believe that's the point. 8-)

Some people need stealth. Unfortunately, these one-size-fit-all solutions are only a starting point. DTRave420 has his shit all in one sock. Expect to have an open cab and/or AC. And expecting a 1/2 pound out of a 150w small cab is fukin dreamin! At least right off the bat. Maybe 2 years and 5 or 6 grows down the road. Once you "master your space".

Not saying these cabs are shit. Just keepin' it real. Any of these "solutions", will need "enhancements" to work. Be it, more/better air flow/movement, CO2 tanks (fuk boost buckets and exhale bags), water chilling methods, water circulation, exhaust "odor" scrubbers. cab cooling, or whatever? And guess what? No matter how tall the cab is. You will only yield the square footage of the canopy, down about a foot or so (if you use HPS). All the rest is pretty much wasted space. A 6'6"x 3x2 cab is great. For one or two big plants. Not 8 large plants....lol Again, DTRave has the right idea. Use couple pots of soil. Or maybe 2 - 5 gal hydro buckets. Fix the heat issues and/or find lights/AC combo that will let you keep the cab closed. Follow the great grow info here @ RIU. Especially how to prune (lollipop, lollipop, oh lolli-lollipop...LOL) to maximize your space. Or, check into sog, scrog growing methods. And you can have a fukin blast! Do a tour of the near planets...lol And yield some nice smoke. :hump:

Starting off. If you can keep them ladies alive through harvest. And depending on strain. Be happy with buds of 10, or more, grams per plant If you get real good. You may be able to milk a gram per watt out of your "solution" So with 150 watts. About the best you can expect is about 5z's dried, per grow. Which is real nice. But again...this is way down the road. Are you patient? :bigjoint:

There are no quick solutions. You reap what ya sow :peace:

Jesus, I can't imagine 600 watts of HPS in one of these cabs... :fire: I have 180 watts of LED (and a few watts of T5) and I need to "crack the cab", in the afternoons.

It also looks just like a $50 nylon wardrobe from Walmart. That seems pretty stealthy to me.

This is a terrible product! I purchased a Supercloset Deluxe back in around 2010. I was just starting out to grow, had no knowledge of what I was about to embark on. My closet was like 6' x 2.5' x 2'. It is not possible to grow more than two skinny, probably single cola plants, no more that max 3' tall before burn from the light. The tube light is decent, industry standard. Intake/ exhaust for the light are questionable tho exist. It blows the hot air out right where its sucked in again. There are no adequate controls or ports or setups for oder, humidity, air quality / temperature.. There is hole to attach the small joke air filter, but that doesn't work. The cabinet is noisy. It is totally far from stealth. It can't even stand flush against a wall, looks very stange in a room. I had to keep the doors open and cool with an external room fan. Cabinet is terribly heavy and can't even be disassembled when you want to get rid of it. Setup for hydro cloning works but there are other more easy, less complicated ways to clone. Cuttings / root gel / rockwool plugs are far easier.

I recall spending some $3000 plus on this cabinet There are many portable grow tents on the market, a multitude of sizes, with numerous ports for customized flexibility of environmental elements. For the same $3000 a very elaborate and very large grow station with top of the line equipment can be bought. Supercloset is a clunky wanna be grow cabinet with just the bare minimum of equipments to fool the beginner into thinking this is what he or she needs. Don't waste your money on this! You’ll buy a portable tent as soon as you figure out you can’t grow in your metal cabinet.
