Your logic is sound, but that last part...:?
Under what context do you mean that? Are you implying all taxes or certain ones?
I believe certain things, certainly common goods, belong in the public domain. The only way to be egalitarian towards common goods is to have everyone pitch in, or ideally a progressive system based on what people are able to contribute without being an unreasonable burden.

Does effectiveness and efficiency of distribution of taxes increase or decrease with volume?
That all depends on the system in place. Accountability and fiscal responsibility are paramount. Citizens must provide oversight and that requires good information, enter a media that includes all relative facts instead of just the ones that fit their political narrative. Reversing citizens united, capping campaign contributions, and enacting campaign time limits would be a good first step.

Trusting that you know how to spend your money better than I do would be a great step as well.

Look up free rider problem. You can opt out of the implicit contract and leave your local civilization whenever you want, but if you use any common good without contribution you are part of the free rider problem and a selfish hypocrite.
Implicit or implied consent exists....i send you notice and you dont respond in 30 days, implied consent to notice.

Implied legal contracts, not so much.
I agree with your latter sentiment though.

I pumped some diesel. My road. Your grid? When you pay over $0.4 per kwH let us know.
so you just drive to the end of your "road" and back again? Stay off public roads. Don't take advantage of national defense either without contributing. Libertarian is a nonsense philosophy.

Speaking of nonsense.....The gas tax from 1957. What was its mission statement again?
