Has anyone else? I'm thinking a plywood box 3 foot square and 6 foot tall with removable shelves from the top to bottom all 3 foot square that would be made of screen with a wood frame and wood guides for it to slide in and out. 2 small vent fans on on top and one on bottom with home made charcoal filters.

Well the thought is the shelves would only be about 4in apart and the shelve would be 1/2in thick.. that's about 16 shelves.

not enough space to prevent mold on large cola's....need at least 4" apart plus 3-4" depending on cola size!! so reality is 12" separation and two circ fan's with air flow from bottom to top! Also need space for the moisture absorber's I buy froom dollar tree..Realistic.....I have tried three typ's one with slide out tray's 4 foot high 4 tray's good for oz's and have built two larger but still better off in grow chamber with AC northeast here and humidity and 100+ so to dry slow and make the herb sweet and nice you can't do it in those temp's and the cab's just don't hold enough if you don't want mold and have to water hash your crop!! Speaking from experience my friend I wasted too much time on this....jack good luck!!

I don't like shelves. Flat spots on the buds is a big let down for me. So I made a 4x4x6 tent. Used hemp string to make rails every foot and just tye strings the form side to side as needed. Works great and sence I used PVC and dark tarps to cover it. It's cheep and light so I can move it easy.

I smoke it don't give a rat's ass about flat spot more about mold here in the northeast!! and the time taken for each dry cure session I'm on a 5 week rotation...need space! like your's better than mine but still wan't room for 3-4lb's...so bountiful harvest's aren't a pain in my arse.. only room for 60 jar's and 20 tin's...I never keep "loose" except for the first week..cure dry take's me 8-12 week's...sweet smooth smoke......

There is 2.5LB in that tent. Only half full
Yeath for how long with what for air circ with what RH%??? 3-4lb's woul not fit in there and not mold been there done that it's simple square area X amount of RH X amount of bud and that's dependent on the density of the weed.....Have been down this road before BUD"S need to be in tin's prior to rotation or no place for crop!!!!

Don't take this wrong my whole life has been hanging in empty room to dry prior to cure I just don't have a empty room so My rotation has to finish in four week's and go into manageable tin's...Hanging has been the answer for me my whole life but now to much RH and temp's 100+ and no AC in house (Just flower room!) so to finish and not dry to fast I have to go in another direction....Your bud's look sweet enjoy my friend!.

Lol. It's in 78 temps 60% humidity and drys in 7 days. No mold. Only jars after 7-14 days. Tin sucks glass is the way to go. And I've had 5lb in that rack.

Here is our dry room. Just 2x2s, panda film, velcro, staples, gorilla tape, a fan/carbon filter with about 2 feet of ducting. Temp/humidity gauge and small fan for a light breeze. Passive intake at bottom, use basic furnace filter to clean incoming air.

1/8" Clothesline string across top x 4 for big bud, x 2 near bottom for smaller buds, and two large floor pockets where one can throw trim and popcorn to dry. A separate dry room makes life much easier.

Sounds like a good plan!

Different stroke's I think Glass suck's!! Tin offer's larger opening and hold's cola's bent without cutting up!! jack IT"S 100 + here too much and humidity is 70% we obviously aren't in similar situation's...I can only tell it the way it is!

I'm not a fan of laying my buds on anything either, if they are resting on something then i figure they wont dry well and mould may develop... Hanging is the only way to go... I here ya though with yr lack of space, temps and humidity... It's a tough one, good luck and i hope you find a way of doing things.

I built something similar, 4 2x4 nailed to my joists then a frame on the floor. I wrapped panda film around and on the ceiling taping all joints. I have a 6 inline fan drawing with a passive intake at the bottom. The flow is from bottom to top and into my flower room. I made it 30"x 48" so I can hang 2 mesh drying racks. With both racks full its holds a full 4 pounds and drys in about 5-7 days. In the summer when the humidity is high I run a de-humidifier near the room to allow dry air to flow through the tent.

Works GREAT! Good luck

Didn't know that!! actually may try!! How tall are they? My avg length is 12" so if i can use them would try as cookie tin's are ok but glass was allway's to small except for the popcorn...jack

I like the sound of that but what's the temp and humidity (ambient) of the area? jack and how expensive is the panda film?
