Turbo Klone or Easy Clone Question

Been looking into these cloning systems for a while now and thinking about finally getting one. The only problem is the area ill be cloning in.. the temps drop at night to about 55F. Wondering if this is going to pose a problem.

Yes, your plants will most definitely be effected by the temp dropping. As far as cloners, I'd go with Turboklone. EZ clone is good with its extra bubble stone, but Turboklone has a cooling fan. Also, I wouldn't go with a T24. Stick with the bigger cloners, you'll get better results.

Thanks for the info, what would you say are ideal water temps and air temps for these systems?

Room temp between 68F and 77F in adulescens. A lot of guys put a heater in the water for root development. I've never done this. In the larger systems, the pump won't effect the water temp much, but heat can be a problem in some growrooms.

So it can be said in my situation where im combatting the cold, It may prove to be beneficial for me to run the smaller site system so the pump will be able to warm the water a bit?
I understand that the pumps do put out a certain amount of heat after running for a while. I think maybe ill just give it a go, if the temps are too cold then ill have to compensate in one way or another.

The cold will kill top growth, as well as compromise root growth.

Smaller systems have less spray heads too. Larger systems have more water that's easier to maintain with minimal bacteria growth in reservoir. Along with easy to drain plugs in the reservoir.

Another option I highly recommend is to DIY your own. You have the same results, if not better, and you'll come out so much cheaper.

Do the sprayers need to be on a timer?... or is it okay to just have them running 24/7?

I just built a 35 site cloner for about 80.00 total. its bigger than id like, as I have 2x25 site aero cloners as well (Clone King cloners). all parts (minus the 290gph pump I had on hand) came from lowes (27gal tub w/yellow top), 2" hole saw, 6' of 1/2" pvc plus elbows and Tees, 35x 360* misters (online), 10/32 drill bit, 10/32 tap for misters, 2" hole saw.

I leave my misters running 24/7 also and air stone.

I believe it's called a "tuff tote" and it's a DIY growers best friend. They run about $12US

exactly the one I used. I have specs/measurements for the mister rail if anyone is interested for use with this tub.

a timer can be used with good success. I have mine run for a half hour every 3 hours, that way I dont have to hear it all day

Instead of using this spray heads,,
There's another option that I think is a little better.

Orbit" Cut-Off Sprinkler Riser, 0.5" x 12" and Antelco Rotor Rain Mini Sprinkler and a 1/2in cuppling.

I also used a 2in pvc cap that I sliced a groove, so nylon screen, and a sliver of 2in pvc. The riser can be screwed directly into the pump.

That's not a cloner, per se. But I clone under my momma. That's part of a large aquaponic-aeroponic system, and the hydroton pebbles are there for bio-cleaning via worms bed. The picture is just an example of the sprinkler in use with Northern Lights clones.

I don't wash my hydroton in a conventional way because it's a closed system. I don't normally change my water either. All the bacterial matter is a good thing in my system. After I harvest, I swap out the hydroton around the plant for the hydroton in the aero reservoir. This way it's always clean by the time I'm ready for it.

If you notice, I use 2in pvc also, that the sprinkler comes out of. It has hole drilled up the sides of it for drain into a collection resivoir. This holds back the hydroton from clogging up the system.

Get the 25 plant clone king about $75.... uses about 2 gallons of water... add a small fish aquarium heater and your set will keep your water in the 70s
you can either get a timer to run your cloner or leave it on for 24/7

Lots of good info being posted. I ordered some net pots and clone collars 2". Air pump and 2 air stones, the 360 spray heads and some weather stripping just in case the top of the lid decides to leak a bit. I have a tote already but i might just spend the extra 12$ to get that 27 gallon. Just need pvc fittings, already have a water pump but im not sure if it will produce enough pressure for the spray heads to work properly.
