UFO LED in a PC Case

You can find one foot t5s at petsmart. They are mostly for aquariums. They come in many different spectrums and are pretty cheap. The fixtures are meant formaquariums so you will nednto modify them a bit.

As for light, I can recommend the spectra 120 from growledhydro.com

Not many people here do led journals/grows but this light is we'll documented other places. It measures 8.5 inches wide by 16 long. If you have the room it would really kick ass.
I just bought one to use for veg and keeping a mom, it promotes lots of tight nodes and keeps them nice and short, looking good me so far.

And just because it's a super cool led don't think they don't get hot. The led diodes don't get hot but the power adapters for each led(or set) gets warm. With even marginal ventilation and a .5 inch or so gap around the light it should be fine.

Here is a video of someone using a spectra 120 through flowering. Seems pretty good, I only have veg experience with veg

Alright, I'll check out a few pet stores and see what I can find and compare an contrast with the Walmart grow bulbs and pickup 2 or 4 of those.

And wow, that LED panel would be absolutely perfect and it'd fit perfectly in my PC case with about 1.5 inches of space on both sides. The only thing keeping me from ordering that right now is the price tag. I think i will definitely get one of those in the future. But what I think I'll do for now is just get a small UFO and grow with that for a grow and once I get some money from that grow, I'll sell the UFO and buy that 120 watt panel. Because that really does look like a sweet grow light and it isn't extremely high priced either.

Thanks for finding that +rep

no worries. If you email the guy, mike, and tell him your very close to ordering his light then ask em if he has any closeouts or deals he might be inclined to give you a discount code. Not tons but saved me about 30-40 when i got my 120.

compared to an ebay led this thing is blinding, cant compare growth but from journals i would be skeptical about ebay leds.

the problem with leds is that the led units are still expensive for the good ones, even the cheap ones are about a buck a piece (on ebay) then you still need the controller, power supply, and case. its the price to pay if you want new technology, its never cheap when it comes out.
