Ultra fast finisher - day 40 and it looks ready?

I was given this as a clone from a "cash crop" or commercial grow. I dont know anything about the genetics but its sativa dominant from looking at the way the buds have grown and the fans leafs.

Its at day 40 of flowering (switched to 12/12 on the 16th nov) yet it looks like its should be at day 70 or week 8-9. I dont know if i should harvest it now or wait another week? I checked the trichomes with my loupe and they are 60 40 but theres also a lot of amber ones..it seems new ones have appeared! The hairs are all burnt orange almost dark brown as well.

I have grown 45 day strains and even then i waited a week and a bit but never a strain that looks ready after 40 days! Its screwed my feeding schedule as I dont know what to do from here?

Would they have breaded this strain for ultra fast finishing?

Dude, those plants are covered in animal or human hair, either way not good.
Looks like longer blond human hair to me. If you have hair that long, maybe you should look like a lunch lady when you go in, with a hair net. Yuck I hate when you get hair mixed in a bowl.

Second picture looks done, other two are debatable. Get a sheers and cut that bitch down when the ball drops for the new year.

Looks like it even foxtailed a bit, what's the heat like high 70's/low 80's consistently? Less than 12" from light source? These are the only times that I really get foxtailing and plants do seem to finish faster when they get like that, but too anectdotal, but a possibility? :peace:

little bit longer, change schedule to 10/14
I'm curious why go lower? It's clearly not confused about what stage it's in. Lowering the light cycle would if anything push it faster to maturity (even possibly herm it.) Why speed it along? I don't see the up side, faster would be smaller and even risky.

it's a clone...on day 40 of flowering....it's not going to hermi. it's some unknown sativa notorious for long flower. he got a fast one and switching would just help it finish faster.it didn't look done on Friday.

Well i checked on Sat morning and the trichs were 80/20 amber. I was going to leave her one more week but she was ripening pretty fast so i harvested on Saturday night.

I spoke to my friend who gave me the clones and he told me its a top of the line commercial strain that has been breeded with a fast finisher. Its sativa dominant. From the smell i recall buying this bud many times throughout the years, its a pretty good high.

As for the hairs that would be from the other day when the plant tipped over..we had a very hot day (i always leave my girls out in the sun as opposed to inside under the lights) and then i the afternoon we had a sudden change with a very strong wind so it knocked it over..lucky i was home and it was time to feed her so i was outside so not too much damage.
