hello all! i have recently started my first grow with some sweet seeds cream caramel autos, as well as some northern lightsxbig bud (5 plants in all). at the moment, i'm 7 days in. it looks as if my plants have stalled growth and they are drooping a bit. they're also stretching, and a bit of a darker green than i think they should be. i have started in a small closet that's roughly 3' X 4'. i'm using ffof mixed 70/30 with organic perlite, which is giving pretty good drainage. i'm trying to follow protocol and make sure i don't over water. there are 300W of T5's spread out among the plants. there is also a small fan circulating air through the closet, and mylar lining the walls. i plan on picking up a ph meter when i can make it to town, i was wondering if any of you could take a look at my girls and see what you think the problem is (if any)... thanks for any help, in advance. and remember... i'm a noob, so go easy on me. =]

Do you have fresh air getting into the closet? I tried to grow with my closet door shut my first go, had a fan blowing the air around but the lack of new air killed them. If they fall prop them up and keep light on them they should be fine.

@king- i open the door 3-4 times a day to try to get the jump on anything that might happen. do you think that's enough to provide sufficient oxygen? maybe i'll leave the door open a bit tonight, just to get some extra oxygen in there and see if that helps... thanks for the advise. if you have any more, feel free. i could use all the help i can get.

There might not be enough light... If they are long and spindly that is most likely your issue. Also, if they are autos, I would recommend that you carefully transplant them into a large pot as soon as you can. Sometimes transplanting can shock a plant and slow growth for a little while which is worse for autos than for regular plants simply because you can't veg them as long as you'd like.

You def need constant air circulation, just opening the door 2 to 3 time a day is not enough, seedling the size of yours spend the first few weeks producing roots, that's normal, the'll start growing sooner or later, one of your T5's should be on top of the plant as close as possible without burning it, not just all around, I'm only saying this 'cause I don't see a lamp on top of your plant, maybe you raised it to get some pics.

@deetee- there are 4 T5's beaming directly down from above on either side of the plant... should my autos be larger at 7 days? i feel like they should... especially if they harvest in 10 weeks from seed.

@d4n- yes i did. i had a 100% germination rate. i guess i'm just overreacting cuz i thought they'd be bigger, maybe?

How high above are you T 5's, I keep mine abt 4 to 5 inches with no problems, have no knowledge abt auto's never grew them and frankly not intersted in them, I don't think they are as potent as regular plants, 'course that's just my opinion so don't shoot me.

Hey man, I used to grow autos.. Let me tell you every one I had started out much slower than any "regular" seed. Id say they look fine atm, but like some1 posted earlier you definitely need more oxygen gettin in. They may be alright for a little while, but come early maybe mid flower those plants would be struggling. I also love the t5's I start mine under t5's then mh. I keep mine very close, like you stated 2 inches at most is perfect! Rock on brotha :peace:

Ok brotha .... just got your SOS so hopefully i'm not late to the party. You say your sprouts stalled growth? first thing first.. Are you overwatering? are your temps ok ....make sure you gets fresh air in that bitch. I did grow out CC but it wasn't the auto version or any of the new versions they're putting out. Original CC was one of the tastiest most potent strains i grew out .....with ease ... i

i might also suggest you add some myco to your soil ....get that rootzone nice and robust ....but don't over water. If you do apply myco to your soil ....apply as a top dress or spike as close to the plat roots as you can get. don't feed until it shows you need to ....and DONT OVER WATER ..... it can't be stressed enough ....most of the problems we have is noobs is almost always contributed to our watering habits. This is fact.

let me add one more thing ...you are working with seedlings. I've had problems with keeping my fluros too close to my tops. Most people will say to keep them on top. but keep in mind that you can give your babies too much light, especially at this stage in the game .... like i said before ...i don't know how late i am, but. Keep us updated
