it looks great :D they will fill out your cabinet for sure
man i cant wait to see those buds fill that whole cab. gunna be very sweet lookin. keep it up bro
Thanks a bunch guys. I've been waiting an entire year to be able to take pics like those!!!! I have to be honest, it got tiresome looking at all of your great bud and then have to look in my sorry ass cabinet!!! Not anymore!! :)

Right now, it's seriously on autopilot!! The night before, I just only opened up the cab for 1 minute to make sure nothing was haywire, and then closed it up. I hate to spoil my own surprises and I reserve those for every other day! Other than that I'm finally just plain relaxed about this grow.

So let me do a brief rundown of the past few days. Four days ago I did a second fan leaf trim. This time I took the plants out of the cabinet so I could look down (like the light) and see which bud faces were hidden. I did some experimentation of just leaving the fan leaf and trimming away enough leaf material to still manufacture food but provide less shade to the buds below. The god damn plants are so healthy that where I cut the leaf has no signs of browning....it healed perfectly.

Because of the pruning, the plants went into shock a bit and stopped taking up water for a few days. Not to worry, last night they were down 2.5L of water so they are back to drinking and eating!!!! :)

So some questions for you guys:
  • How much more stretch do you think they have left at Day 19?
  • On the top tips, how long will those buds get on top of the stem?
  • Do you guys think I'll have a problem of too much height?

Some pics of the trim on 2/20.

I kind of agree with wvmade, you may see 6 more inches of vertical growth including the swelling of the top bud sites. I think a good plan for next time will be flower when the screen is already half full. This will give you room to fill up the screen during stretch, and the tops should only be a couple inches above the screen at this point, leaving the remaining space for the colas to SWELL :D

I have seen a definite differences between the 5 strains I have grown for the stretch into flowering. A couple have done a last swell and fox-tail into the end, the Royal Kush stretches into the third week then thru the fourth it's done. The Diesel which goes +80 days does different. I wonder how running different strains would go in that aspect. You can vary nutrients per strain, but canopy management is another 'beast to tame'. I've never done scrog, but I seem to be fighting this often. Not much help this time, but love to see the bud porn.

DAMN, JSGAMBER !!
Nice canopies bruh !

I missed the clone question on page 1, so here's my picks (not in order):
1) Green Crack
2) Trainwreck
3) Flo
4) G13
5) Sour Diesel
6) SFV OG Kush OR Bubba

Easy on ANY AND ALL DJ Short strains when it comes to feeding nutes !
Go 1/4 to 1/2 strength than what you would "normally" use for "normal" plants in a grow.
I have done Flo, and damn was she sensitive and picky.
Add that to all his strains mutant genetics and you have a different sitiuation/grow to learn from.

Based on what you guys said I think I might be perfect! Right now the closest top is 5" from the lamp. If I hope for 4" buds I think I would be in heaven right now! :bigjoint:

Dude that means a lot coming from you! Thanks! I've been busy lately which has been good! It keeps my mind off of the plants! ;) Otherwise I'd be stir crazy!

Thanks for the heads up on the DJ Short strains. Way back in the beginning I tried to veg a DJ's Blueberry and it was the first to die!!!

Wow, wonderful looking grow. I'm glad to see you overcame all the issues and you came out a winner. Those look awesome. That was a very neat idea.

looks great Gamber  how many weeks are they now into 12/12?

Is it just me, or did anyone else see danielsgb liked that post twice? Man trippy!!!
26 days baby!! :D The redness in some of the flowers is a bit of wind burn (I finally figured out). Too far away from the light to be burnt, not a bug in sight, Air/Water Temps perfect, PPM's, etc. The fans don't oscillate so I need to remember to adjust the direction they point each night.

Isn't it cool?!! :D

These girls are smokin'!!! :bigjoint:

I'll get pics up in a bit but it's just magical!

It's really starting to suck having PPM's way up high (above 2000 where my meter doesn't read) so I've done a bit of a strategy. I've dropped the base nutes down to half strength keeping the MagiCal and Awesome Blossom (micronutes) at full strength. Now my total PPM's are running at 1610. The leaves were starting to cup downward. However no nute burn, yellowing or anything bad looking! I just did the full water change this morning just before lights out with pH stuck right on 5.8. We'll see how they look this evening.

So the garage has only a faint smell (a good one)! However, when you run your hands through the colas, the smell on my fingers is a knockout smell of turpentine/pine and fruit. The smell hits the olfactory very hard and pungent. My fingers are just all sticky! :D

Lastly, I went through and trimmed off all the top fan leaves. Interestingly enough I have two even layers of canopy from branching sites that found their way up from the bottom during the stretch. Since I don't have any space for leaves under the screen, All of the lower fan leaves now act as a carpet of green below the colas soaking up gobs of 400w CMH splendor!

OK, now for pics. BRB
