Vertical CMH 400w Chem 91 grow experiment...aptus vs H&G

Yea im testing a tomato plant in there at the moment and its about 4'' away from the bulb with no burn at all its just turning its leaves down a bit because its a bit to little for the light and cant handle it yet but its gettin there and my bagseed are sproutin now and should be in there in a week or so.

What do you reckon the chances are that my strain will yeild ok with sog? I know its hit and miss but do most take ok to the method?
sorry for the trouble thanks!!!!
BTW for some reason i find your plants so appealing i dont know why you can tell they had a bit of a hard start cant wait to see some flowers on em.

Nice CMH grow! Very interested in these. Currently im running 10 23w CFLs in my cab and my temps are a bit higher than i would like. Do you think a 250W CMH would compare or exceed vs the CFLs and do you think it would be hotter or cooler than what i have now?

Thanks!

i dont have experience with cfl, but 250w cfl would be very very cool comparable but with a lot more light you would increase your yield by ALOT

Don't get ur hopes up. There not gna be selling anything higher then 400w to the public do to safety issues and ineffiecency. They have already been using upto 2500w cmh for industrial use for years. I got more details on this in my thread if ur interested or pm me and ill explain in better detail. (The info is from a credible source also not some bullshit)

My girls are under two 400w cmh's to finish out their flower cycle. They seem to like them. 600w cmh's would be kick ass.

Ps. your plants are looking bomb bro

I have heard it from two people. One of my good friends thats a lighting distributor and thomas from advanced tech lighting.com (he was the first guy to start marketing cmh to hordiculture). Phillips already makes one for a 600w ballast, it s actually a 550w (I saw it in person a week ago). They do not work well for hordiculture because after 330w they become very inneffiecent and provide too much light for the sqaure footage they can cover. So it is best to use multiple 330 or 400 set ups then to use a 550 or a 1000.
