VIPARSPECTRA???

OK, how you all doing. I can show you where I have my viparspectra lights hanging at. Here's the deal I have both HID lights and a tri of vipar lights. I have 2-450 reflector series and a 300 full spectrum. I will go with they are ok (if they were shit they would not turn on), I used them to start up with midway through my grow the plants got to big for the footprint that the light would efficiently cover. I wish I would have went a different way to be honest. I scored a deal off FB for 2-1000 magnetic HID dual ballasts and a 400 dual as well plus a shit ton of other gear for 150 with hoods too.

When I go to redo my grow room I am going LED DIY all the way. I see the potential of the vipars but they (at least these) do not pack enough punch for great penetration, from my growing experience.

This is a 4x8 tent and this picture was taken 5 days after I put a 600 HID in. It really sucks that what they claim is a 450 is more like a 200. But at any rate this is a pic with 7 plants. They did not get very tall but the 4 mango that I sprouted from seed actually landed right at a half pound and the 3 ak47 extremes gained 170 grams. I really can't complain.

Here is where they are today.

1 plant under viparspectra 600 W
2 or 3 weeks untill harvest !

Dam that is one nice plant! too bad viparspectra's are good for only one plant each compared to HID. Sorry for the price of vipars I would save my money and I would have bought something much better or built my own.

But still it is a nice plant

Well i know there are better things on the market i’m waiting on my Quantum Board but i would just like to let people see that they can grow a decent yield with this light. And i’m sure you can grow 4 plants with this light.

I can agree with you there. The light is not bad, its ok! I wish they would have told the truth about the wattage on the lights! a 450 watt only pushing a low 200 watts, not cool. I originally grew 7 plants with the 3 lights that I have. I did not finish them that way though. I ended up using two of the 450's on 2 plants (a plant each). The product that the 2 singles put out were great but they also had a 600 watt HID backing them up. The plants were about 3 feet tall and 3.5 round. I pulled 140 grams off those 2 plants alone. The plants that got the just of the HID setup were really amazing but a little less @ 115-130 grams, I cannot complain really. I actually think that the 300 watt full spectrum out performs the reflector series.

This is a great thread as I have been researching the same topic after paying out for the 600w and 450w model . I am currently 3 weeks into flower, and it my first grow so my insight is quite limited. I worried right after buying them and searched for evidence that they are capable and came across both good and bad results, so after much stress I chilled about it and I am now waiting to see how it goes for myself. From what i read the vipars lack in red and are very blue white strong. Something like 30% of total output in the red spectrum it says in the manual. People also had issues with the RoHS sticker being fake and the CE logo which i think is dangerous. My logos are legit so leads me to think may have a bunch knockoffs sold branded as vipar Spectra's at some stage. For the lack of red I found you can purchase e26 deep red only 36w grow bulbs with wall plugs for cheap so I think that is an option. Again I cannot give you much advice or comparison but I can share with you now my experience and research with them so far.

Do not use the garbage VIPARSPECTRA led!!! you guys will be cheated:cuss:
Yeah I feared I made the wrong decision. I think like me and many others who purchased the unit before too much research on LEDs in detail should not stress over money lost and rush out for a new unit. Im just going do my best with this current grow and sell enough to purchase something a little more well renowned like a mars II. would eventually like to step up to the bloomboss or a kind led.

neither you nor they

either with or, neither with nor.

congrats on your degree from Trump U, numnuts.
It's a shame that my first post had to be to be about pointing out your sentence fragmentation, lack of proper punctuation and capitalization. Sometimes you shouldn't throw stones.
