Do you buy non-organic produce? I can guarantee that you are getting much worse pesticides in much larger quantities in your food than anyone did from WC bud. If you do stick to organic produce, i can still guarantee that you are getting similar pesticides in much larger quantities than on the WC buds.

You should read about the effects of dyes - or be old enough to remember Red Dye #2 - before you dismiss them so casually. But my real point is what WC was accused of using actually used wasn't anything to be terribly worried about - plant oils, biocontrols and an organic pesticide that is considered non-toxic to humans.

As a side note, legislation is pending that extends the pesticide ban - which currently only applies to dispensaries - to caregivers. This bill would prevent caregivers from using such common preventatives as neem and rosemary oils.

IIRC, the pesticide ban is in the rules, not the statues. No new legislation is needed to extend the ban to caregivers, just a rule change.

At the last public hearing for rule changes, Dr. Sulak testified that the pesticide ban needs to change to allow stuff like neem.

A patient friend got some MOB from them. It was disgusting, the smell of ammonia was so strong. Moldy meds that they had scuffed to harvest trichomes and make kief. Moldy meds that were scuffed is lame beyond belief, their prices suck too

Hmmm.... is that why the bud looks so manicured? ? Just thought it was close trimming to get rid of mite invested sugar leaves. I think MOB is supposed to smell like a skunk running through a berry patch; at least mine did.

You are correct in that they could change the rule in a rulemaking. They could also change it with legislation which - done given the dysfunctional state of the MMP at DLRS - is the best way to get anything at the moment.

FI was a patient at the Portland location for a few months. It drove me crazy that when they finally had new and IMO better meds like Jack there was a one gram limit per day. It was a 45 min round trip to pay $15 + tax, no thank you. When I left WCM they were talking about charging different prices per strain versus their single price policy. I felt they were either admitting that the $320 per ounce they had been charging for MOB, Chocolope and Medi-bud (what the hell is medi-bud anyway?) was too high or they were going to tell me with a straight face that they needed to charge higher prices for Jack and the other "special" medicines. I found a caregiver who is able to offer more strains than I ever saw in stock in Portland and more importantly the quality and price can not even be compared. I am no longer in any great rush to get my own girls going

I just went for the first time, Brewer location. Meds were not bad, but overpriced and no selection. Mob, Jack herer, og skunk, and cheese were all they had, but did say tinctures would be in at the end of this month. I had 2 caregivers and both were just as interested in money as the dispensary and so far I've had better luck with the dispensary. Not to say there isn't good caregivers, but I haven't met one yet...

where are you located?

The dispensary in Portland was the same, but the prices were NOT comparable to caregivers. $250 oz. is pretty common price for the caregiver to get, but the dispensaries are much more.

I don't doubt there are caregivers charging the same prices as dispensaries.

I need to start charging more, because I have been selling my top end stuff for $250 a zip.
