Sorry if someone like this guy who gets so mad that MOST people don't understand his position (HIS WORDS), then would it not make sense for him to express himself without personal attacks, or total disregaurd for everyone else position. You and I don't see eye to eye on everything yet we still seem to be able to carry on a dialoge without attacking each other. Should he not also try the same. Should he try to "get along with everyone around him" while still making his point? I think so.
This guy is disgruntled about his own life. Shit if I was that mad all the time I think at some point i'd have to get the rope and chair.
I am not sure but if I would guess I think that he comes on here as a way to blow off steam and say the type of things he wishes he could say to his students.
I do agree with you that personal attacks end up making people blind to your point. Which if your trying to blow off some steam is a good set up to give people crap for not listening because you laid it out.
That is all a guess, but I see a lot of idiots in my classes that I just want to tell them to read the book before they ask dumbass questions that the professor just talked about 4 minutes ago, and can imagine how much of a pain in the ass it must be for a professor to constantly be interrupted for stupid shit that adds nothing to the conversation simply because they didn't do the homework.
Which is really like what is happening here, people are not really doing the homework to be so sure of their stance and just repeating things that bloggers have 'informed' them of. And then compounding it by googling things they don't know to only find it on another website set up with quotes off the origional.
I really try hard not to attack people and see what their point of view is so that I can talk with them and help them to see the other side of things. I do get frustrated at times and blow up, but usually it is just that people I swear try to not understand things the way they are.
And I get mad because we would have a legit chance to do some good and it gets blown up due to ignorance and political entities smear campaigns that mangle the facts and scare the people that don't know how to dessimilate the information on the internet.
My grandmother is about 80 and she loves the internet now, but I had to help her to see what is actually happening because she was afraid that they were going to tell her she has to die. All because the republicans are trying to get back in power and setting up these fake blogs 'of the people' in order to scare everyone into voting for them next year.
