So I'm 23 days into flowering and my plant just recently stopped growing up and started packing on more bud weight and she is starting to lean and I am tryin to catch it before it gets too bad.. Do you guys just use like bamboo stick and tie her to the stick all the way around the buds to the sticks?

i would put a bamboo stick in the soil and tie a fan leaf to it... that way it isn't too close to your buds.. also, this allows you to stake near the side of the pot opposed to the center where you would chance doing more root damage..
i have also seen people run string from the ceiling to the plant and tie it up that way.. then you don't mess with anything in the soil..

i just use string and tie it around all of my branches that also let's the lower branches get more light

I tied a tiny rope around the stalk higher up on the plant and stapled the tiny rope to the side of the wall. I can still turn the plant to light all sides and stays straight up.

hey can you post a pick of yours now, my is around 28 days flower and not packing on TOO much weight yet. I can see the cola forming but not alot of "weight"

Yeah mine isn't huge but on mine the main cola has just formed into 1.. I will try and get a better picture but this is what I have now which was taken a couple days ago..

Edit: Also its leaning now more than it looks in that picture.. The picture doesn't do the bud size or the lean justice. Also it was taken a few days ago

I say just use a meter stick right next to it . But if you got a better idea do it. U gotta do what u gotta do.
Well a meter stick seems like it would do some drastic root damage.. At least more than a couple bamboo sticks.. But is it that bad to stick something into the soil?

i would prefer not to use a stick because i want the roots to have all the space they can, plus it just isn't the best way imo. what i do is tie a string around where the base of the weight is (usually around halfway up the trunk), pull it till the plant is upright and just duct tape that bitch to the side of the pot. i have also done this with several twisty ties twisted together instead of string. It's kind of a pain in the ass to clean off after the grow but as long as you get the plant upright it doesn't matter. I just end up using more tape the next grow. you can use duct tape and string, attatch something to the pot and attatch the string to that, whatever. as long as it's not something so stiff or abrasive that it will damage the trunk it's all set. The plant will still grow, and if you're blessed with plants that are just so friggin heavy they start to tip again you can do this as many times as you need to. i have had plants that by the time they finished they had a small jungle of strings holding the trunk up or tying tops down, it's fine. the plants will appreciate you.:joint:

Haha thank you for the info.. I think im probably just gonna do this or a variation of it. Might tape string to wall to hold up since grow space is fairly small

I tie my from the top of my growing chamber.... but that's a very handy answer for my specific setup.
At any rate... you have a good problem my friend. I'm sure most growers would tell you that they don't shed too many tears when their plants get heavy with buds.
A fan will help them next time... the air blowing on them causes them to build beefier stalks and stems. Silica Blast will help too.

Yeah im glad just dont want it to break:D also the popcorn nugs on the bottom of my plants some pistils have already changed to brown, is that normal?

dunno about the pistols. I know they brown as a function of age... but no real clues other than that.
Yeah I know that I just noticed that the bottom "popcorn nugs" have started turning and so on a little ways up the plant but none on the top cola, not yet at least. Only 28 days into flowering
