We Have Never Been Stable

Yep, borrowing billions to build a wall and starting a trade war with Mexico also makes absolutely zero sense. The money for that wall would be better spent on this nations infrastructure. Which would make it easier for goods and services to be delivered both to and from Mexico.
But then we wouldn't be able to bully them and say what 'winners' we are.

agree on infrastructure needs. states manage most infrastructure, but feds do contribute some funds. taxpayers pay billions of dollars in infrastructure taxes. in my state, we pay about .35/gal of fuel, plus additional measures passed over the years that add percentages to sales taxes. the problem is the funds get rerouted to other things. a current example for me is this stupid train gov brown wants to build in CA. they want to take over $650M collected for road improvements to use for their train instead. thats not how they got that money!! the money is there, but politicians want to spend it elsewhere.

just like we pay for things with a tax, mexico will pay for the wall...via tax. trade war? unlikely. mexico needs us more than the we need them, so they'll come around because they will have to.

you/we here in the US, are on the winning team. the rest of the world is doing the same as us; getting theirs the best they can.
Do you know someone who receives 'meals on wheels'?

I do not. But I do know there is a myriad of programs available for the elderly and needy in addition to Medicaid, Medicare, and social security. If your neighbor or family member needed help, would you help them or just refer them to an 800#? Why should a taxpayer in nevada be responsible for an elderly persons lunch in delaware?

Wrong. Have you ever walked into a luxury hotel and 'experienced' the person that walked in the door before you? If you have, shame on them..if you haven't, you can thank me.

Additionally, those who 'get it' understand what a 40% longer linger and 17% more buying decision in properly fragranced area means to them.

Are you a hotelier? I'd like to pass my card along..
"properly fragranced" ? In my view it's a fucking hideous intrusion. After a few minutes those shitty scents smell like desperation and grovelling. They might be reeling them back because some folks think they are abhorrent. Plus who manufacturers that shit? They aren't combing Grasse markets for organic absolutes. Proper ventilation and good housekeeping makes a great hotel environment, not gimmicks.

Actually, it's the other way around. The good people of Delaware understand that feeding and caring for children and elderly is what a society does.

Conservative red states are much more likely to recieve more federal aid than they remit in tax revenue.

So no one wants to talk about the recession that's on its way?
because i disagree. and arguing about something that hasnt happened just seems like nonsense to me.
Red states by and large have failing economies. Trump's plans are no different. Conservative policies fail every time.

Trump and the economy
Strap up

Congress can constrain only parts of Donald Trump’s economic policy

http://www.economist.com/news/united-states/21710013-congress-can-constrain-only-parts-donald-trumps-economic-policy-strap-up

MARKET reaction to Donald Trump’s win has been something between sanguine and elated. But if you set out to design policies to do long-term harm to the economy, you might end up with something resembling Mr Trump’s agenda. The next president threatens to erect trade barriers, which would disrupt supply chains and dampen productivity growth. He wants to deport many of America’s 11m illegal immigrants, which could reduce the size of the labour force by up to 5%. And his tax plan is ruinously expensive, costing almost $7trn over a decade, or around half of America’s outstanding national debt.

How much damage is President Trump actually likely to do? That depends first on how much of his policy he can get enacted. Until recently, his tax cuts would have been vulnerable to a Democratic filibuster in the Senate. But thanks to a rule change in the latest budget deal, the Republicans can now pass even unfunded tax cuts with only a simple majority

Because you are keeping them independent at home as long as possible not costing the government for a senior facility. It's still cheaper to have an abortion than an unwanted child until age 18.
