anything can be addictive. Obese people love food, midgits love height, and i love marijuana. Ahh parallel construction, delivering a poetic example!

When I say no self-control, I mean the people who cant even stop for a good job... If your only option is stop smokin pot, or be unemployed... Stop fuckin smokin pot!

That's lack of self-control in its truest form...

At least pot doesnt kill you lol.
The withdrawl for most people is a little different than most substances (so I have noticed)

It generally causes (if you get the withdrawl that is) Anhedonia temporarily.

and I wouldn't even argue that, I am def pro-pot (I mean fuck look at the site we're on), I am just saying that people can get addicted and there are side effects from that addiction.

Addiction is knowing the behavior is harmful but being unable to keep from committing the behavior.

Weed has physical withdrawal symptoms but weed withdrawal won't kill you like alcohol withdrawal or turn you into a murderous monster like heroin withdrawal.

Weed can have potentially undesired side-effects: inhibited cognitive functionality (especially math), decreased motor functionality, impaired memory, exaggerated or impaired emotional response. But these side-effects are all temporary, and probably for some these are not side effects they are primary effects.

The smoking process is harmful too, but with weed you're not limited to smoking alone. You can eat it, drink it, rub it into your skin, absorb it under your tongue, you can even stick it up your ass!

It's all in the balance. As an adult I work hard to pay the bills and to make a future for myself and my family, and when it's time to take a break from my worldly responsibilities I turn inward and put the same care and devotion into my own spirit, which is just as important to my health as my mind and my body.

Anything you do for an extended period of time can lead to a physical 'addiction' and subsequent withdrawals (e.g. caffeine). So yes, weed can produce a VERY mild physical addiction, but I believe the mental addiction is far worse. If you stop smoking for a week or so, I'm fairly sure that most physical withdrawal symptoms will all but disappear.

lol Midgets love height. Haha. I agree with you subtlechaos , if you need to quit and cant thats an addiction. Most people smoke after a hard day of work and watch tv to relax , kinda like some people come home and get a beer. But if it goes beyond that its ok. Like if its a sunday and your just bored and smoke pot , thats ok lol. But i think its not ok when it could put your job , family , or something like that in jeopardy. See what im saying?

Concur with you, my friend~

My belief: AS LONG as you get your PRIORITIES straight (first u must decide your qualitfications of a priority) If you have completed all your tasks for the day, and/or are in limbo for a cpl of hrs.. SUre... TOKE up!!!

But there is a withdrawl.. so that would mean there has to be a dependance?
how many people do you think get withdrawl symptoms? i dont know if thats really common or not, i've not experienced them, and neither do my other friends who toke, so i wonder what factors into whether a person will experience withdrawl or not?..it might be worth while to start a thread asking people about withdrawl and if they get it, and then try and see which things are common among those people...just for the sake of experiment :) if i was to do a thread about that, would many people participate?
