Just finished watching it. Very disappointing. It makes the industry look like a bunch of buffoons. It's an embarrassment. Also, I don't buy it. It would be impossible for that group of people to make the decisions required to have that successful of a business. Those are the front people, the real decision makers at harborside (also the real money behind it) remain mysteriously absent from this show leaving the false impression that these buffoons are the brain trust behind harborside. From a business stand point, that is impossible. That group of people would not be capable of creating such a successful business model with the way they acted in that show.

So the only question I have is where is the real behind the scenes leadership from harborside? Why were they not in the show? And why did they make the choice to have their business shown as being run that badly?

Harborside is the most financially together club in California. I know this first hand. Fiscally that place runs like a Swiss watch. But from watching that show you'd think it's amazing they stay in business at all. I can't quite put my finger on what's off about this show yet. But there is a huge lie in there somewhere. They are definitely giving a false portrayal of who they are, the question is why?

I have been watching too and I couldn't disagree with you more. The show represents Harborside well and their definately is leadeship and a broad delegation of responsibility. The direction of the operation may not be with the overbearing presence of some large corporations but the different management people do take care of their areas of responsibility and report back to Steve. All in all I think the program represents Harborside in a positive light and doesn't make it look like a circus and show the business in a totally negative light as has been done by other shows.

I like that people can see that weed patients are normal folks that look just like you and I. This show may help to reduce the stigma that affects many people's opinion on weed.,

As far as "Clean Green"...what a fuckin joke. Yeah, I'm gonna PAY to let some stranger into my op. Fuck that. The only way commercial growers will get on board with shit like this is when it becomes a requirement to sell. Besides, what keeps me from just hiding the Floramite and chem nutes when the inspector is there? Speaking of that. I hate bring bad news, but a huge percentage of all commercial indoor growers are using Avid and/or Floramite on their crop. There's no test for the use of such products. It would be very easy to have an inspection on a total chemical grow and have it certified. How long would it really take to stage up some organic nutes and insect control?

i saw a doc on natgeo earlier this week where steve d was shown in a different clip saying the exact same quote about 'backdoor taxes', and it looks like they have a new series coming up called 'american weed' about a couple of brothers who grow, maybe in CO?
