what is the "cree cxb3590 @700ma" of today?

in 2016 my life changed when I saw growmau5 video where he pulled 1.96gr\watt with that setup
almost 8 years have passed. what is the max efficiency PPF PPFD umol/j achievable today?

seems like the most efficient commercial panels right now are from HLG @ 3.06umol/j
how can we take this number higher today with DIY solution?

edit:
lusidghost gave us a new benchmark:
with the Chilled Growcraft Ultra. "3.19 µmol/J
which is funny because mau5 worked there too

The most efficient and powerful lights on the market currently

Prices are also on Canadian dollars so it’s pretty cheap for murica
how are they the most efficient if they are only 2.9 μmol/j ?
read the topic again, Horticultural Lighting Group is at 3.06 μmol/j

nothing on the market is going to beat a DIY solution anyway

I'm sure you can build a light that outperforms commercial lights, but It seems like everyone is just ramping up the watts now. Who needs a 1000w LED? It reminds me of vaping mods. Who the hell ever vaped at 200+ watts?

Cloud chuckers, and clout chasers
I've never seen an atomizer that could handle that kind of power. I've had 120w coils and anything over 100w was too hot. If you're wiring up your own coils, god damn. That seems like a steam cannon that would cook every part of you respiratory system while charging up a hand grenade that you're holding up to your face.

So my 1600 watts is overkill???

What size is the coverage?
I dunno, I used it in my 5.5 x 6 garage room, it’s going into the house but still prob a 6x6 footprint. I just wanted to hang it high, finally bought a light meter, been too tired to hang it and try it out. Think there’s a pic of it in my half finished journal.

I see you’re editing your 3.20 numbers. Just like HLG likes to do on their charts hahaha
yeah, I was writing that 3.2 number out of memory but then went to the website to check myself and saw it's 3.06 max.
sorry for the confusion.
but it's still a higher number and the model you are referencing is an older model.
anyway the only reason I trust HLG is because growmau5 works there, otherwise I don't really care
It's just something to measure against

Hanging them high and having few lights makes sense if you have a warehouse type of setup I guess. Also if you're using Co2 and really locked in. I was trying to make the point that we've surpassed HPS levels and now they're just stuffing more bulbs on the build that most people are going to have to turn down.
