Great thread.........

Worst was Dr. GreenThumb's "Endless Sky".......if you haven't seen my previous hating in a 100 previous threads here and elsewhere, you don't read enough!

Anyone here ever tell Sanny how weak it was? I mean lolol... what if he never smokes it but all his friends are like "Dude thats the shit right there dude!!!" You know we all have friends like that especially when they smoke free.
Sannie (I believe he is actually a woman since Sannie is a woman's name) would tell you she grows everything out each seed run and it's just fine. I've conversed by email with her/him about it after growing it out with fair results, and I think she claimed grower error but not 100% sure anymore. But, people do use it in hybrids which should tell you something. It may be the only strain I ever got from Sannie's web site that I was unhappy with. I expected it to be killer because Sannie don't lie- but maybe a fib here and there.

I usually hate buds that aren't grown by me, but the scene locally is pretty shitty. Every now and then I get decent buds from other cities, but over here, it's easy to be among the best.

You can't judge Mexican seeds by the bag you take them out of.

I should say most Mexican genetics are good. You just get shut weed because if being cut early, bricked and they way it is handled an broken down multiple times.

I can judge it after growing many of them for myself, as well as seen 100s of them grown locally. I don't doubt that most of the Mexican strains are good stuff and I am sure whatever you get around your area is good stuff. But we obviously get the bottom of the barrel here. Have smoked many types/batches grown quite a few different ones, seen many friends grow them out and not one of them can come close to the most bland euro breeders seed I have grown. I am not saying that is like that in the majority of places or that Mexican weed is bad. Just the leftover crap that makes it here is bad. I am sure there is some fire to be found in some areas with good batches.

Kona, you really should grow out some real Chem hybrids from Top Dawg, or if you can't afford that much look for one of Bodhi's chem dominant strains such as The Fuzz, Cobra Lips, or even MoonTang. I figure Dinachem is a great plant since many enjoy it but I fear that you are right and it probably didn't meet your expectations for a reason - the reason being that euro breeders probably watered it down with something to make it more stable and less variation in phenos. I have grown many many seed companies seeds and they were almost always fems - the best I grew were HSO, and Female Seeds. Most of the plants I got from both of them were much better then G13, Dinafem etc. I knew Bodhi's seeds would be better I just didn't realize that his strains would blow HSO and FMS out of the water. I will probably never grow another seed from HSO , and only C99 from FMS because they just don't compare. It is worth looking through his genetics, every plant has been a winner so far.

Thanks for the info for sure! :-)
I have Fuel from connoisseur genetics. Doesn't seem to be available anymore, but if you can find a pack, grab it!
Very chemmy, but even meaner with the real diesel crossed to her!
Love bodhi stuff.
Two complainants, if you can call them that.....one, bring back the originals I never got a chance to get, cause they got grabbed up so fast.
Two, I wish he would use more diverse male source, but I respect and understand why, but because he is so passionate, I would like more! :-)

Burnt Reynolds is a heavy hitting kush hybrid that takes away the pain and helps wit power naps. If it didn't smell like motor oil and sawdust, it would stay in the rotation.

1.sour diesel not cause it was bad, but its all I worked with for years, I was learning and the co-op was stuck on this strain for years, I wanted to grow other stuff.

2. blue dream, I don't hate it, I just struggle I top it. bend it, burry it, yet it still has stems "Like whoa!" and its gazillion pheno's irks me. its been a medical patient favorite in my area, I never have problems on the other end.

4.never..ever met and indica I didn't love, but Afgooey (or the pheno) I had was not pretty.

worth mention: headband, and harlyquinn cause I think the dried flowers are ugly. (admittedly I have never had a go a these myself)

less be said, IE: one persons afgooey, is not the definition of the strain. you can great genetics(strain) and have a gaggle of ferrets grow it with predicable results.

For me to date it has to be Pandoras Box. Looked good in veg but that was it. Smell was like a mint pine cleaner, had huge buds, tasted like it smelled and was harsh, hermd by popping bananas late in flower, foxtailed really bad. This strain was talked up to me so much by the local cloner i was getting clones from and it ended up sucking bad.

ok, so sorry, one cross of big bud is a keeper, the ohter 90 are shit, my bad.
The story of the lineage being bb X pu is fairly recent from Ken. And I have a feeling it may either be what he's using to make his current GDP seeds as I think I remember him losing his original GDP stud a little while ago, or that he's just making it up lol. You can find just as many sources stating its bs. Some even go as far as saying Ken didn't create GDP, just sourced it and then took credit . I don't know personally, but I've grown big bud and original kens cut GDP and there aren't really any similarities. And while GDP does yield a bit better than purple Urkle , not enough for me to necessarily believe big bud. So much smoke and mirrors in the genetics games these days, who really knows what's in a lot of these crosses.

Og is a good example because the og I was getting in 2006 doesn't look like any of the ogs floating around now. Tk is the closest I've seen to old school true og and it's still different. You can say the different phenos are from the environments they're grown out in, but sfv, ghost and Tahoe are some of the oldest og cuts as far as I know and they don't look smell or taste the same. There are some mild similarities but you couldn't sell one as the other to someone who is familiar with either.
