When do flowers become bud?

I think I have been lucky and I have really learnt a lot! and acquired some good equipment on the way. I have my nice grow lights and a beautiful new grow tent so that I can get this out of the house....the smell is amazing. I can't wait to begin the next grow!

So am I...I think this is more luck than good guidance. I didn't realise how quickly you can move from veg to flowering and consequently had my plant outside for months! When the weather turned against me, I moved it inside. I veged it some more. It has several main branches (I trained them because when I moved it to artificial light it just exploded with growth). When I moved it to the 12/12 cycle I didn't realise that it would grow some more (a lot!). So I trained it some more. I have over watered, under watered and overfed it (till the leaves turned brown and crispy) and still it survived me. I still do not really know what I am doing, but it seems to be willing to flower despite me. I think I will do better next time and I am sure you will too. Good luck.

I just need the absolute basics on how to start and what to use and how many

So.......I am not an expert but here is where I am right now. If possible - buy feminised seed. I have been doing so research and a GWS is reltively inexpensive with a high yield and a decent thc %. It really does want to give you bud. Look at the FAQ to decided what to grow it in. I bought greenhouse seed 100% germination. So, if you buy feminised and have limited grow space - limit the number you germinate. If you dont buy fem seeds then you need to germinate more. Many seed now come in fem only. If you buy non fem seed you must germinate 3 in order to guarantee 1 fem. You figure how much space you have. Also consider if you want to let the plant simply grow or train it. If you are in europe you have missed the grow season and need to think about indoor light and heat. If you are in the US (with a few exceptions) you have the same problem. Try the FAQ's
