You are quite insightful for 18. many people spend their entire lives chasing after things that they think will make them happy only to wind up miserable. Unfortunately, there are many women especially, who deeply regret having bought into foolish Feminist notions telling them that having careers and earning more money will make them happy and that raising children oppresses them and will only make them feel worthless.

Then when they get to the end of their childbearing years and realize what they have been robbed of and they begin to see the void left in their lives. It is so sad.

I saw a quote recently - "the most important things in life are not things."

And yet still, many people can only perceive happiness by relating it to ones standard of living and lack of personal responsibility. They see only the tangibles and think that only fools consider that which is intangible.

It's a start (except for the stuff about their magic spirit being the best one). But hopefully you don't think that's all you'll need. For example, the issue of kids and video games. Is there a commandment that gives any guidance there? I honestly don't remember them all, but you get my point. Life's damn complicated... whether we like or not, we need to do a lot of thinking for ourselves to navigate this crazy world and guide our kids.
