I was originally only gonna veg for 6 weeks but I want my plants to have a chance to fully develop so I think I am gonna veg them for at least 8 weeks now. I did do quite a bit of reserch before I went ahead with this I spent a lot of money to get the right stuff. All of my plants are white widow they were started from seed so I hope I get a goood female male-ratio. Keep your fingers crossed for me.

Well Its day 43 my babies are do well aside from what I think might be nute burn curling up some of my leaves, and making them, a little yellow. Tested my ph level with the capsules I bought (waiting for the ph tester I ordered) and it said about 6.5 then after sitting for a while went to 7. Thanx for the feedback guys its nice to hear peolpe think im doing good. All coments are welcome, Keep em comin. Here are some pics from today.

Well another Day has passed and my babies have grown to 14" tall. they are looking healthy. I am trying to decide how tall I wanna let them get before flowering. Does anyone know how much bigger this strain gets when you switch it to flower? I have a 6' 6" celing. How much bigger should I let them get?

Took a closer look at my babies today, I can see preflowers on most of them. As far as I can tell and I have 5 males  5 females:hump: and 3 that dont have any preflowers yet. I hope I am wrong about how many males and pray the other 3 will be female. The 5 females I am almost 100% certain, but the males???? I dunno...... Maybe thats just denial. I'll try to get some good pics of all of them. Here is one I'm sure is female. Please let me know your opinions. It is appreciated. Thanx

Take a look at my thread I grew some widows also. I vegged them till they were 12 inches. They were also topped twice but look how tall they got. My room is prob a little taller than yours and the light is at its max hieght. Consider flowering asap. I see that we are using the same nutes. what strength are yours at? How much do you add per gallon?

They are gettin 6ML micro, 10ML Grow, and 3ML bloom. What do you give yours? Maybe its the nutes causing your leaf problem. Mine do the same thing and I dont know why.

I water once or twice a week depending how dry they get. The last pics do look a little droopy I took them a couple hours after watering, They always droop after watering or feeding...... Dont know why, but they pick back up after about 6 hours. Here are some pics from today.

mine are in DWC buckets so maybe thats y mine got soo tall but when they were about 10 inches I gave them the 100% recomended strength. When I switched to flowering when they were 12 inches they grew twice the size in three days. Obv it was because of the full blast on nutes but I would still be careful. I think you should start flowering right NOW!!

Well I decided to top my plants again, so I am going to veg them for a little longer. I hope I get a good yield!! Does anyone know what white widow under 600W hps will yield per plant? Once again all coments welcome.

how come you keep topping them? If you trying to fill out space just wait till flower and start bending them around... I had 8" plants or smaller at start of flower and now 3 weeks later I have trained them around the place and they almost take up all my area, didn't realise how much the branches would grow.
I'm also using hortilux 600HPS turned it on day 35, CFL's prior to that

First pic 1st day of flower, day 46

Second pic 10 days later, tied top over to expose branches, day 55 (flower day 9)

3rd pic, yesterday before I ripped out the one at the back for being a hermie (flower day 24) main stem was 26" long, grew 18" then turned... maybe cos of stress, that's why I don't like the sound of topiing if LST seems just as good but much less stessfull..

Any comments welcomed, my first grow, thanks

ratty -- i am agreeing with flowering them soon. you have to expect that about half are going to be male which will free up room for you to train your plants as seen in hoochie's room. since you just topped them i would give them a few days to a week to kind of recover and start growing then switch them. what size pots are they in? if you want to increase yield, you could transplant after about 2 weeks of flower. may lengthen the flower time a little, but the yield will be remarkably better. The 600watt is a great size. i was reading the other day that it has the best yield to watt ratio so your good on that.

Hoochie, i saw in your room it is close to 90 degrees, what kind of ventilation are you doing?" it would be better if you can drop that from 33C to at least 30C

I was gonna give them about another week in veg now that I topped them. They are in approx 4 gallon pots, and I dont have any bigger to do another trans plant.

Hoochie As for my reason for topping, I have read that the main colas are the best part of the plant, so What better way to get more of the better quality than to grow 4 main colas? At least that is my thought. I have a buddy that has been growing for a few years now and he is the one giving me tips. I have smoked some of almost all of his crops and they are great!! Here are a few pics of his ladies. Keep in mind that the pics are of his 6 plants thats 6. This would be the reason for my topping.
