Hey shawryboy what's happening brotha! Man your plants are looking great , good work man. Wondering how high you got those panels above your babies? Looks like you could drop em down just a bit and this might help with plumping up those buds in late flower here. At weeks 5-8 I had my A300's about 12 inches or so above the tops of my plant. Looking really good though man top notch work!
12 INCHES!!!!! Man I'm scared to put my A300 less than 16. I just raised the sucker 2 inches because of the bleaching I was getting, though I do push a shitload of light now, (1xA300, 2xBS240, 1xLedStar(5x60), 2xT8-32watt-5500K + 2xT8 36 watt UVB).

Hey Shawry hope everything's cool. Update soon?

Sup Fran Jan how are ya , yah I had mine even closer than 12 inches at the end just so lower stuff got good coverage and I did see a little bit of bleaching but not to much I think some strains bleach more than others ....although I'm not 100% sure.

Hey curly, thanks for the input i have had the panels at the highest point in my grow room as this was said to be the best for the footprint by johnothan at vipar, i have since dropped the panels to like you said approx 10-12 inches from the top of my ladies as they did seem to be reaching a bit! i have upped the feeding pattern to every two hours as they are greedy little bitches!! i have also given them another pruning & took more fan leaves off as they bushed up like mad again since the last time i did it & alot of the lower bud sites werent getting the light required, im thinking maybe another three weeks & they should hopefully be some nice big buds on them, how long do you normally flush for? i was thinking around a week? also do you use any flushing agents or just good old h20?
heres a few more pics for ya!

How ya doing shawryboy ....first off gotta say those girls are looking fucking great man good work. Ya I think that the lowering of the panels will be good for ya man those girls look ready for it ....they kinda reminds of the structure of the blueberry I grew last round all the leaves pointing up in such a healthy manor. If ya got the time let these bad girls go as long as they can these strains really fatten up in the last couple weeks. And as far as flushing I flush for 7-10 days with florokleen but I used to just use water and it worked OK too the flushing solution just gets rid of even more extra salts and leftover nutes and is usually pretty cheap. Great grow so far man for real , can't wait to see how it ends up for ya cheers man.

How are ya budman longtime no talk hope all is well with ya , I'm doing good been off the growing fix for a bit :( really starting to get the itch haha and soon enough I'll have another setup of some sort going ....maybe even a couple :D. Ya I've had similar calcium uptake in later flower as well and heard of a few others having that issue with leds but I haven't seen any real science behind it....although I would live to :). You got a journal going or you laying low? Would love to see how your girls are doing. Cheers brotha

Ha, yep, i know what you mean, i miss it when im not growing my ladies, time is bud lol
Not sure the science behind the calcium, must be the light intensity in the spectrum in the blues or reds? idk.

No journal, UK weed laws here are medieval, hopefully that will change when Scotland gets independence :-P

Good luck with the next venture curly :bigjoint:
Anyhow don't want to hijack shawry boys thread, he is doing amazing, all the best :weed:

No journal, UK laws are still in the dark ages even though corrupt UK government grown and manufacture satevex, sells it to the word and tell us its citizens it is illegal but hopefully that will change when Scotland gets independence because SNP wants to decriminalize weed and use the Portuguese approach.

Good luck with the next venture curly

hey people,

im a bit concerned on my root structure they have all gone a horrible dark green/black colour, is this a common thing for hydro when late on or is it something to do with the nutes or over watering or WHAT THE FUCK IS IT??? ive probably got 2/3 weeks of flower then a week flush left & really dont want things to go tits up now, ill add pics tommorrow after a water change,
Also after checking out curlys scrog grow im seriously considering trying this myself with soil rather than hydro but wouldnt know where to start so if anybody has good tips on how to set up i.e pot size, what soil to use, what nutes, how often to feed etc please tell me as much as poss as i think i have room for 4 maybe 5 plants in my room & im dying to get maximum yields from my space as possible.

Whats Up Shawryboy. In Order To Help Ya Out I Need Move Information On Your Setup And Clear Pics Of Your Roots.Ok First I Havent Heard Of Dutch Pro Nutes Are They Organic Or Synthetic And What Kind Of Additives Are You Using??You Mention A Greenish Tint To Your Roots. In My Experience Green Means Algae And You Should Never Have Algae In Your Res And If Your Res Has Algae Then You Have Light Leaking Into Your Res This Is Not Good.In short My Brother I Need To Know What Your Doing And When Your Doing It

Hey dawg thanks for getting back to me, ok the dutch pro nutes are synthetic and i have stuck to the recomended dose of each additive that i got with the whole set of nutes from veg through to flower, i change my res water every week but yes you may have hit the nail on the head as there is maybe a 3inch gap at the end of the top tray of the ebb & flow set up which will be letting light into the res, i have an air pump & air stone keeping the res oxygenated &also i have a wave maker in the res keeping the water moving at all times it is never sat still, if it is an algea problem i have do you think i will be able to see out my grow? like i say i only have probly 3 weeks left

Thats A Good Question Brother Lets See If We Can Clear Up That Algae Problem.1st Add 15ml Of 3% Hydrogen Peroxide Per Gallon Of Res At Res Change Then Add 10ml Per Gallon 4 Days Later. Now Post A Pic Of Your Set-Up Lets See If We Can Get it Light Tight.

ive ordered the hydrogen peroxide should have it within a couple of days, i had already done my res change before i saw your reply but i will add as you have recommended, here are a couple of snaps of the gap at the edge of my top tray & a couple of buds & roots, do you think just rolling up a towel & placing over the gap will be enough to block out the light as this is what i have done in the mean time? thanks for all you help so far dawg you really are TOP DAWG!!
