yeah I found a couple for around 10$ but I'll wait and see if It's a must or not, I'm not too worried about noise as my tent is in a good insulated place.A speed controller can help with noise.

Those cheap fan controllers are hard on the motor and make it buzz. They turn the AC sine wave into a square wave and essentially turn the motor off-and-on. You will be much happier with a variac that gives you a wide range of speed variations. I use something like this and it also lets you dial in your humidity a bit.found a couple for around 10$
