Why do you care what other people think?

That's just not true. There are plenty of people who prefer to not have any type of community, even family members, around them at all. I think you're confusing community with communication. Humans can't function without communication, because they can't identify who they are without identifying how they compare to other people. That's why the silent treatment is so effective - it sends people into crisis mode. How do you know you're mean if you've never seen a nice person? That doesn't mean you need a nice person around. It just means you need to be able to identify one.

Do you think it's possible to be nice to people and still not care what they think? I don't care what people think, but i'm not necessarily unpleasant about it. When i'm walking around, I usually have a huge smile on my face because i'm happy. So people are friendly with me. I'm friendly in return, because i'm in a good mood. They never know I don't care what they think, and they probably wouldn't care to know, because they probably don't care what I think about them either. I mean, it really doesn't matter how you behave, you can't please everyone. You have to pick and choose who you are going to please and why. These reasons are usually more selfish than not. Like a lot of people have already said, they may not actually care what others think, but we have reasons like maintaining employment, not having to pay child support, etc.

I suppose it's paranoia or fear really. Perhaps someone is thinking about having me for supper. Which might sound like a bizzare notion. But not so far fetched if you look at if from an animals point of view.

The more I care the bigger my erection. So if you see me trolling around in deep conversations, its only because my erection is massive.

Most say they don't care yet they come here to discuss different ideas and ways of growing...doesn't that mean you value others opinions?

As Ive gotten older my give a fuck about random peoples opinion about me has lessend. Having a family that is your priority will do that for some. As well as meditation.

I didn't read the thread, just the O/P... The answer is simple. I don't, a lot of other people don't. It's a basic driving need in most people, acceptance, it means that they've not wronged others, and have helped others. So, others like them. Empathy. A lot of people feel very little, or absolutely no, empathy. Others don't feel empathy, but have an overpowering desire to be the "center of attention." Those people (narcissists) want others to like them. On a baser, physical level, almost everyone "cares" what others think. You care whether they want to kill you, don't care that you are alive/dead, or don't want anything horrible to happen to you -- self preservation.

fin 1) you're lying. If you didn't care what people thought than you wouldn't waste your time with your website. You yourself said you gonna show people how to grow dank dank right? Don't you need people to care and be curious about what you post in order to get views, clicks, traffic and money?

1) I have a website because I have a tech team that wants to help me make more money that helps me for free. 2)If I cared what people thought about my dank dank, I would have taken their advice instead of telling them to stop giving me shopping lists, and probably would have stopped posting on this website, which HATES on my dank dank. 3) No I don't need people to care and be curious, you just do it anyways because I am an ass to people who are an ass to me, and for some reason you guys love it.

I would have more "friends" if I didn't care what other people think. lol
