Why hydro? Why grow shit weed on purpose?

I'd argue I'm not addicted. I've been smoking about 15 years and frequently do not smoke for days and weeks at a time. It just depends on where I am in life at the moment. The more I work or focus on other hobbies the less I smoke it's sort of cyclical for me I'd also argue I didn't read the context in which the original was posted. So meh. I'm starting the 2 month countdown for when trich returns to shit on hydro again. That'll be unfortunately when he decides to stop his medicine again

Anyone bitching about weed quality is nothing more than lazy in my book. It isn't rocket science, grow some weed.

Its like that dude that's always bitching about being broke. It isn't rocket science, get a job.

Sure.
It's easy to stay healthy too. All you've gotta do is eat right and exercise... :dunce:
No, of course not. But we're not talking about something with a terribly large number of variables. The guy has invested more time into trashing the weed than simply addressing the problem, which in this case is relatively simple. Grow some weed.

How do you grow weed?
Did you know that there's more than one method?
Do you know how minerals affect THC?
Can some additives prevent pests naturally?
What spectrum is best?
Does UVB help? How about UVA?
What is the ideal root temperature?
Is it possible to have too much cal-mag?
How do humic/fulvic acids help nutrient uptake?
Does molasses really help?
How do you keep silica and sulfur from precipitating with calcium?
Why do some strains use less nutrients than others?
Is foliar feeding effective?
What's the difference between nutrient & compost tea?

Simple stuff indeed... :dunce:

Ok, Chunky you win. I'll never again address people bitching about dumb stuff, without ever attempting to fix their problem. Also, thank you for pointing out that merely attempting to address ones weed problems requires such a vast knowledge of every aspect of growing. I don't why anyone without a degree in horticulture would even attempt it.

I see now that simply bitching about things on the interwebs is a much better course of action than actually trying to fix your problem.

When did you become such a grump?

I say let the bitches have their stores and complaints. We all grow and smoke connisour quality. It will only get worse with legal weed as the big boys take over for the hacks supplying the weed now.

You're the one using vulgar language to tell everyone how easy it is to grow dank. You're the grump in this situation. I hope your next 1000 beans are males. Have a nice day!:spew:

I never said easy, but it's certainly within most folks capabilities to at least try. It beats the heck out of half page rants about folks who are learning, trying, and succeeding.

If the hill you're gonna die on is backing up rants about how fucked up hydro weed and the people who grow it are, Then we shouldn't prolly talk.

I won't likely grow 1000 beans in my lifetime. Clones.
Have a good one.

Well I am technically growing hydro so Im definitely not backing this rant up. This rant is one giant low quality stinkbait anyway. Isnt the whole point to shit talk each other? No hard feelings hopefully I'm just kidding

P.s. Change beans to clones and males to angry hermies

Right on. Are you doing DWC or similar? I initially tried it, but failed epically. I was able to save the plants by transplanting into coco/perlite hempy buckets and following the 6/9 nute schedule (H3ad). Never an issue crop after crop since changing. I'd like to try something different but I'm not really ready yet. This has been working for a couple of years now, and I need more experience. I've also not changed strains but once. I'm only now beginning to feel like this strain and I know each other. The last two runs were amazing for me. Every plant identical, canopies were nearly flat across.

This has definitely been a learning endeavor in general. That said the education has been paying off. My outside vegetable garden is BOSS nowadays.

10 steps to a successful cannabis day:

  1. i like a nice wake and bake with an uplifting sativa and coffee (dabs and coffee when available)
  2. another toke around 10a
  3. and again a sativa after lunch
  4. hit of sativa around 2-3p (sometimes a 2 hour nap)
  5. a before dinner hybrid is nice
  6. as is an after dinner hybrid (dabs when available)
  7. around 7-8p its time for a nice indica
  8. munchies generally hit bad around this time(edibles when available)
  9. after munchies indica(dabs when available)
  10. finally end the day smoke before bed with an indica
Ha we have the same schedule

I like in harvey smiths videos
Where he says he was growing his lettuce SO on piont in hydro that the brix level was so high he made a new grade of ultra premium and charged resturants for it :)
Only time hydro has ever treated me bad is when I FUCKED up . Most problems can be traced back to the grower or environment first :)

Sure. The silly organic vs hydro debate will always march on but the best indoor I have ever smoked was skunk 6 from the Colorado mountains. And it was an old pvc pipe and netpot system run with an old 90’s fish tank computer filled with hydro nutes.

That was the real sickly flowery skunky powerful old school hybrid skunk.

The “fake” nutrients didn’t seem to hurt it much.

I know i switched to what REAL farms use

It aint advanced,gh,botanicar, ect

No mo hydro store for me lol

Also not pushing mirical grow ha ha

High quality food crop grade nutes :)
I'd like to do the same and get away from gh this run. My struggle is calculating how to mimic the current recipe I use. I know I'm screwing myself by paying for bottles of water with a small amount of nutes at a hella markup.

No they are an excellent way to learn hydro.

I still recomend them i just wont pay for them anymore :)

But botanicare is still an old fav of mine as i found it tasted (yes) better then gh imo

Its pretty easy if you have an ec meter to get close .

Basically all the nutes are the same but they are all unique if that makes sense.

Like i can tell when a guy uses gh or advanced nutes lol unless they do a great job curing it i stll detect traces of flavor

If uou wanted to stick with gh id try their maxi grow and bloom .

I WANTED. Clear colorless nutes as i run rdwc and i like root porn lol so i was tried of colored roots from advanced nutes

Switched to hydrogardens chem gro 4-20
Been working fantastic so far :)
