why is it growing like that?

True unless you get like 6 - 65w cfls and keep them all within a inch from the tops. Still not going to get super dense flowers like that 1000w.

ok but i thought my problem was from the light being to close?
Hold your hand under the cfls around the same area the plants in now, if its uncomfortable the lights too close, raise it and try again. Do you have the fan blowing air on the bulbs/area between bulbs and canopy? I have no problems as long as i do. What are your temps at?

my temps are at like 80 sometimes 90 depends if i have windows open or my air on...yea fan basically hits top of leaves a bit and bottom of bulbs

Yeah as darkdestruction said make sure to keep the fans blowing on the canopy and where the lights are even close to the leaves. You usually will have no problem as long as the fans are blowing through the canopy and through the lights.

dont bud at 4 inches dude that isn't very tall at all, wait for like 10 inches to 1 foot man. Try to find some CFL bulbs even in bermuda....It sounds like you're going to need more light power to get your plant to harvest...

thats the thing a cfl wont give adequate enough light to bud at a foot...i used to bud at 2-3ft with 1000watt hps and that worked well but def. didnt and doesnt for a big tree like that....u have a bigger tree more bud but not a bigger yeild! uf u bud early like 3-4inches and 4-5nodes the tree will still grow so 13inches and have bigger more dense buds thats the only reason y i would bud that early...im following a book put out by seemorebuds...my boy who gave me the book followed same guidelines and got 5-6ounces of a tree a ft and a half tall and he budded at 5inches

lol dude you can totally do a complete grow with the size of the plant i said with all CFLs, you might need MORE, and put them all around your plant but it's very possible to grow a plant that large with only CFL power.

i kno i didnt say it was possible i said u would get more bud but not a bigger yeild after a foot tall the buds start to get spaced out and little ball like buds thats arent huge and dense

The more leaf area you grow before you bud the bigger the buds will be. End of story.

If you have leaves that are at least the size of your palm you can bud and not get dwarf buds. If you let leaves get hand size and stems get pinkie size or better you are looking at a much better yield.

Bigger is better, don't fool yourself.

Your plant looks soil stunted. It looks like it hates it. I would transplant into a dixie cup of some good soil immediately.

well the tree was really dried out and yellowing and leaves getting crispy due to the lights too low the soil i have has worked for me for years i think it was cuz the cfls wur to close like wat was said earlier

ive added three more lights 42 watt cfl to the room and changed my lights from 24/7 to 18/6 and there is a huge difference in growth! every new set of leaves is coming in at a rapid rate! good advice!

i replaced my 24watts for 2 more 42watts... and i arranged the 24watt bulbs around the plant on the shadowed area alot of new growth fast and strong...i found out the burning of tthe leaves was from the fish emulsion fertilizer i was using i over fed the plant and it burnt it up...but its healthy and doing well now cant wait

Your giving the light cycle change to much credit imo. Adding those cfls is what did it. Glad to hear your grow is taking off for you.
