Wiring Potentiometer & resistor help pretty please. <3

I have a post halfway down this page explaining that im trying to wire up my lights again. Im a bit stuck now though. i have my potentiometer and resistor ready but i cant find a video on how to wire them up with the resistor attached.

i watched growmau5 videos using meanwell drivers, but he explains he wires the + wire and the ground...
my driver has + & - and an extra 12v but no ground? or is the ground the - wire. fromt he videos i see the + goes in the middle, ground to the left. But i cant seem to find his old video on attaching resistor so any help on how to attach things up would be great!

connect the resistor to the - lead on the pot. Connect the Dim- to center of pot and Dim+ to the resistor. Should work fine. If it does not switch the Dim+ Dim- connection.

Thankyou @VegasWinner @topcat @stardustsailor

wired it first time and it kept flickering .. but tried again maybe the resistor was back to front..
seems fine now, although i expected the light to go dimmer.. i thought it would turn it down a lot lot more. but maybe its fine. Im thinking maybe i cant tell the difference between bright, super bright and f***ing bright at the top end. Just thought 10% wouldnt be that bright though...i guess ill see what happens :D

thanks too all x

They dim to 50% unless you have a 240 or 320h

found this 12v oscillating fan that i thought would be cool to attach too the 3rd wire on the dimming lead..? to either breeze my plant or active cool my light. dependent on how fast this thing spins as it doesnt say. am i right to think i could just chop off the car charger and add maybe a waygo connector between them? or some other type of connector? so its always on then unless i turn the plug off.

i dont have permission to post links so if you search 12v Oscillating Air Fan 360 its on ebayuk for £10.99

think its a good idea?

That driver only outs out a measly ..250-300mA on the 12v I think.
Do you find that when you dim with that driver, it's not consistent and it's like 100% bright with the knob halfway turned?

the dimming isnt great to be honest @goofy81 but i havent fully tested it yet as i need to hang it up and try to see the difference when i turn the dimmer up and down. lowest point is 50% which defo look less bright then 100% but cant really see 60/70/80/90% strengths but maybe my eyes cant tell.

any idea what i could use the 12v wire for? .300ma seems a bit weak to power a fan..

I also have the meanwell drivers, and the seem to dim a lot better. Very linear with the turning of the dimmer.
I used the 12v for an ammeter. However, the power at the wall of the driver shot up more than expected.. So I stopped using it
