World of Seeds...

Now I know people have used these before and apparently they're quite good, so I don't want info on their grows, I just want to know where all this "pure" stuff comes from... For example...

Chronic Haze = pure chronic x pure haze

Is this just a selling point, or are they genuine with it? I'd hate to think that these guys, who do have quite a decent reputation on these boards(from what I've read) are turning into what GHS are today.. In otherwords, marketing monsters with inept product.

Yes its mostly an adjective attached the the strain to make it more attractive to the eye for the most part. There are of course exeptions.

What kind of exceptions are we talking about? I've seen strains with pure in the name before, such as Pure AK by Female Seeds, but that's just a rebrand of AK48. I can understand breeders not wanting to rip off original breeders by making a knock-off and naming it the same as the real deal. But when breeders claim that every thing they've got is "pure" it kind of infuriates me as they very clearly don't understand the meaning of the word "pure".

Keep in mind you are dealing with one of the "Walmarts of S33ds"...I, too, believe that there is a lot of money motivated malfeasance out in the cannabis grow culture (s33d fiction & nutes) ripping off inexperienced noobs and it is getting increasingly worse...I have had my beans repackaged for "Stealth Shipping" reasons only to find eight weeks into the grow I did not get what I paid for and complaining is futile. A lot of whores moving into what used to be a kind and gentle neighborhood...Caveat Emptor. Toto, we are not in Kansas anymore...FWIW

My observation is most of the packages being confiscated are the ones WITH stealth packaging.
I've never used the stealth + always gotten breeder packs + always satisfied.

I used WOS one time + I think they say pure because they use pure clones + feminized pollen from those.
They say Male because that's probably the clone the feminized pollen was used + the mom was the one they hit with it. That's just the way I took their descriptions.

Their "47" crosses are most likely with the cherry ak-47 clone + skunk47 is almost a copy of the Cherry AK-47 clone I ran previously(except an added peppery flavor). Don't know about their other strains but the Skunk47 had almost identical buds between bean plants but slightly different structures. I bought a 7pk. and all grew vigorously with fat hard with a sweet cherry/peppery type smell/flavor. Some were str8 sweet cherry but some had a peppery undertone that I've smelled in new skunks.

I've wondered the same thing. I've grown out their gear.. namely the Strawberry Blue ( Stawberry x new blue line)? I don't know what the hell that's supposed to mean but the strain itself was in fact fantastic. All three beans were fairly uniform with a slight difference in resin profiles. Every grow i've seen exhibits the same leaf structure and growth pattern.

But back to the question at hand. IMO .... i would think that names like "pure" and "new" are just reworked, stabilized genetics. Of course this is just MY OPINION. but i can say that everything i see out of that company, looks and is reviewed as legit gear.

Ive grown WOS and I loved yumbolt /47. They have a lot of 90% indicas and you gotta love that. I don't know anything about there pure line but if you send them a e-mail they will respond.

What would you like to know? I may have a smoke report on here....
It was definitely sativa dominant in effect and flavor. I would give it an 8.5 out of anything i tried. Put it this way ..... it was hard for some to sleep on it because of the raciness of one of the phenos ...the other a little less, but sattty dom all the same.

I grew out two beans ...both uniform in structure, grew like an indica. Both topped. The taste was fucking amazing... tangerines, REAL berry like with a sour aftertaste one one pheno .... The other was burned with nutes and it honestly tasted like dog hair to me with that same fruit background. I blame the nute burn, but who knows.. I yielded about 2 -2 1/2 with a 30some day veg .....about a 70 some day finishing time. I would recommend and grow it again.

I know these companies are fem factories, but the proof is in the genetics. The smoke is no joke, and the health, vigor, and sexuality proved to be reliable, even when things went wrong. JMO

I grew the strawberry Blue, it has potential to yield on it's own but even better if fimmed and topped. The smoke was a og kush high with a little more indica lean on it. Fruity smell and taste.
