Hey Couchlock, been growing with them for a little over a year. What I've found is regardless of the strain, my lights tend to grow very short/close inter-nodal spacing. That's not a bad thing at all, I like it. But it requires LST imo to open them up, the close internodes tend to get almost too thick and blocks light down to the centre of the plants. I tend to FIM (multiple times) and LST to open them up and let the centre shoots come through. I end up typically with shorter plants, spread out through LST, so bushy but not tall. That's not a bad thing, the recommendation for my lights is to keep the longest depth of light at 42", so take away say 12" for the pot/stands, and 32" is about as tall as I want them. But 30" tall, by 30" wide and lots of colas can generate some nice yields.
That said, in my current round I let one of the indicas just go, other than FIM and it's about 35" tall but still getting light to the bottom popcorn. They're definitely smaller/popcorn but I don't mind that, they go into a separate pile for oil/hash/edibles anyhow.
My personal preference is sativas, LST'd, FIMmed and bushy vs. letting them stretch too tall. The lights seem to work well for that setup. i may SCROG at some point as I think the LED's do very well in that setup.
