White russian and MAZAR - first time grower

Hey everyone, i've been looking at this site for a while now, and it seems helpful for new growers with all the experience on this website, I thought i'd share my bit. I'm a first time grower, I purchased some white russian from serious seeds because well we all know about how potant it is, and I receieved 5 freebies from mazar. to be safe, I germed the 5 Mazars first, they all sprouted in about 2 days, I put them into the rockwool and had them under a floro for about 7 days and they all sprouted perfectly except one which did, but I could tell it just was the oddball and it looked as if it could be a problem in the future and could cause pests and diseases so I got rid of it. they all went great, so when the root came out the bottom I transplanted them to the pots, and I set up my grow room with the white plastic in a 6x6 area. I came prepared, so I purchased a 1000 watt M/H-HPS switchable ballast and right now obviously theyre under the MH, the white russians came about 10 days after the mazars and they all went great and now theyre all under the 1000 watt. I've got a couple pictures here to show you guys, i'm open to any tips anyone here has, any experience growing indoors? and also since the light is so powerful I have it about a good 4-4.5 feet away from the plants, think i should move it closer? feel free to help out, I need all the help I can get, thanks people ! Keep in mind the ones in the orange pots are the Mazars and the black pots are the russians !

Thanks alot dude, how long do you think before I can start figuring out which buggers are going to be male?? also, i guess its normal that some grow quicker than others, should that be a problem in the future for the ones that are stil tiny? and the 1000 w is about 4 feet away from the plants, should I move it closer??

yes about 12 to 18 inches. put your hand over the top of your plants under the light for about 45 second,if you have to move your hand cuz its to hot then move it up till its comfortable to hold thier. when you switch over to 12/12 in a week youcan sex them out. veging long enough with 18/6 light cycle will show preflowers be4 floweris introduced.

How long of vegging do you think give or take before they show pre flowers? the mazars have been vegging for about 23 days. thanks for all the help and quick replies dude, i appreciate it

i start with clones all the timeand in my 5th to 6th week in veg i start to see preflowering. how long do you plan to veg for.

these were started from seeds, i dont mind vegging them for a while, will I get a bigger harvest if i veg for longer ??

the taller the plant the more bud sites. if you top or lst your plants even more bud sites. i dont do anything to my plant but grow them. LOL

haha why bother eh? some plants are better to be topped, some not. i think after these i'm going to take a shot at some Chronic, I heard its a heavy yielder. How much do you think the average harvest on a mazar and a white russian would be ??

Also one of the plants the one on the left corner closest to the picture of the mazar, i went down there today and it looks as if the leaves are droppy, now mind you the leaves are fucking huge on this plant but do you think over wattering could have layed a part??
