It looks like I'm gonna have to suffer tap water with an existing ec of 0.7 then. What about a tap attachment water filter. Just need to bring that EC down a bit. 0.4 is very workable but 0.7 is just too high!
what you are talking about is a sediment and chlorine filter. i use one as a pre-filter on my r/o machine. i'm not really sure what it would do for your water's EC though. i've never run just the pre-filter. went straight to r/o with the pre-filter. not sure you'd wanna waste the money on an experiment.
i don't think getting an r/o filter would be suspicious though. i have one at my house in the states and it feeds my fridge, ice maker, tap spout next to kitchen faucet and i fill up 5 gallon jugs for the water cooler with it. i only drink r/o water. a lot of people do.
