Well it seems the only was to get it done then, is by force....all this bitching certainly isn't making it happen.
Why are they arguing over the debt ceiling for instance? Why does the right not want it raised? If its raised too much, we must publicly admit to our bankruptcy....perhaps the left wants this as well....then we can all admit we live under pseudo communism and they might say "not so bad eh?".
Maybe we should educate ourselves as to the mechanism that allows all this favoritism, kickbacks and the like.
What allows the Law of the Land to be blatantly bypassed by those that swore an oath to the document?
It most certainly IS elastic currency.

I find them less irritating than, say, myriad beenthere or Chesus threads.
Although I will admit I've had to rein in some exuberance tonight.
The problem I have with thread merging is that each thread, even on the same topic, has its own character that develops. If a thread gets out of hand, I'll close or delete it. But I don't want to do that without an articulably good reason.

central banks began as a cunning ploy to seize control of a nation by seizing it's currency (inB4 "Dem Sneaky Jews") but now central banking has become a key wedge tool for the destabilization of capitalist "reactionary" states to compel them into compliance and force slow creeping socialism upon them.
the world bank has been the primary motivator in this scheme, with the perfect example being jamaica.
a poor country with poor people, but rich natural resources and almost no debt, jamaica could have taken steps to improve their lot by attracting investors, but the IMF and Worlds Bank offered an easier solution: "Borrow from us! We're the nice guys!"
unfortunately the jamaican legislature didnt realize they were putting their whole country up as collateral at loan shark rates on a denbt that could NEVER be repaid, so the world bank stepped in, and now the jamaican government simply rubber stamps the World Bank's decisions.
